We'd be better off if he just blamed the players. This will just reinforce to people that Griffin is a snake and Gayle doesn't know what she's doing.
Will say though, almost no players were all that excited about us hiring SVG and almost none came to his defense when he got fired.

Players force management and ownership to fire coaches all the time. A play on semantics isn't going to change that fact.

It's funny that he would even think that way in this day and age. It's a player's league and he's still going in with that archaic mindset.

Reasons SVG was fired:
1) Griff wanted more say in what players got minutes (main one was Bledsoe).
2) Stan was brought in to be an a-hole and some of the players (not Zion) did NOT take it well. Caused a ton of friction
3) Stan was kind of a jerk this season and didn't connect with ownership (remember than Gayle had a great relationship with Alvin).
There is a lot that needs to be sorted out this offseason and it's not just a coach

That’s two coaches where Griff over exerted himself. Needs to back off and let them do their job.
