Hawk is being asked to handle the ball alot, that’s something he’s not used to doing, so makes sense he would be off.

It’s good but it’s bad, it gets him learning how to handle the ball, but I don’t understand why we have him working on something he won’t do on the main roster anyway

They have called Karlo like 4 different last names and none of them right.

He is, but he also fancied himself a ball handler when he played last year and that, and his defense, were big reasons in giving Willie ammo to take him out of the rotation.

We need to stop trying to turn him into something he's not and just have him focus on becoming an even better catch and shoot 3pt sniper.

Reeves is a bucket. He could be a microwave guy off the bench.

Missi is RAW. The handle is a nice surprise though. He doesn’t look uncomfortable if he needs to dribble

I wanna say you are wrong but damn these two games pretty much saying that.

One thing we already assumed, but now we know for certain, is that if we are counting on Missi and Karlo to play big minutes, we're gonna be a terrible rebounding team next year. Missi can't rebound for shite.

We've got to sign a couple real bags. Theis is the only one we have and he shouldn't be more than a 4th big of the bench.

Y’all did this last year with Hawkins in the SL. 31.9% from the field and 25% from 3P in the summer league last year

He shot 36% on 300 3P attempts in the reg season.
It’s going to be ok

Him shooting only 36% from three got him on the bench. That’s not good enough for a guy that takes so many other things off the table. That’s just the truth, he can’t be a “good” three point shooter.

Edit to say I realize you simply meant the summer league results aren’t the end all.

And if that’s the case you sell early to recoup as much value as you can like they just did with Dyson.

Wonder if Griff had the choice, but I would have much preferred keeping Dyson.

They wanted Herb so it makes sense they settled on Dyson.

We have another 2-way slot, I think. Watching this game makes me want to sign Huff to that slot.

I love Karlo, but watching Huff give him the business should tell you what you need as far as his chances to truly help us at the 5

The Hawk PG experiment is a disaster

I wouldn't call it an experiment. The Pelicans tend to do this with all their young guys. They like them to try to develop other parts of their game in the summer league setting. I would never expect Hawkins to be a primary ball handler at any stage of his career. He'll be right back in his expected role once camp rolls on by.

Ahaha get used to seeing it night in and night out. I expect this is how our bigs will look against NBA level bigs if we're trouting out Missi, Theis, Matkovic, and JRE as our bigs on game day.

Yeah Griff can be content all he wants about our team but if these are our bigs we are fricked.

I’m betting over every opponent center prop against us. They’re going to have a field day. Especially rebounds.
