There were those reports out of nowhere last week about Detroit really liking Mathurin. The only top 7 team that makes sense to me as promising Sharpe is Indy. I hope that is true. That would mean Daniels and one of Ivey/Murray falls to 7, so we'd get who's leftover.

This is a theory but Sharpes workouts haven't gone well at all.
Is this possibly why he canceled? I don't particularly buy the promise theory.

Everything we've been hearing is negative so hiding makes as much sense as a promise. In that case I wonder how far he could fall.

I think he goes to OKC with Portland’s pick after they trade 7 for Lu Dort and 12.

Well if Mathurin and Sharpe both go hopefully that means Murray falls, which would be amazing.

Really don’t like the idea of taking a guy from overseas who has only played one year in the G league.
Would much rather someone with bigtime prep and college experience - that’s why Murray would be a dream come true to fall.

There’s no question, if OKC moves to 7, they are exactly the type of team that would take a swing on Sharpe. No immediate expectations, playing for the future, and already having picked a player higher. That’s where my money is.

That’s what concerns me, he’s going to think he’s the best player on whatever team he joins. We don’t need someone coming in and trying to be a superstar, we need a team player that just wants to make the team better.

I think I'm ok with Griff not wanting to draft Sharpe at all. He doesn't seem like he fits the culture and at best doesn't develop optimally and at worst becomes a locker room problem because of the poor culture fit.

Going to certain teams allow them #1 or #2 option.
