He states in his Substack that multiple sources tell him that Green has virtually zero player support left in the locker. The team has tuned him out, which was evident during a franchise record number of 40 point losses, after many of which Green referred to his team as “soft”

Y’all dont hate Gayle benson enough

He’s a terrible basketball coach and these are professional basketball players and adults. They aren’t stupid.

Gayle loves him and is too cheap to fire him.

Someone needs to Sterling Gayle if we want any chance at real basketball in New Orleans

I don’t hate Gayle, I do not believe she manipulated Tom into the position she is in.

Tom got dealt a tough hand with Rita becoming unhinged. Though I think she’d be better than Gayle, Tom probably should have executed both franchises to be sold when his health started to decline. He clearly overestimated Lauscha and Loomis without his oversight.

The entire front office of both franchises is utterly incompetent as their records indicate. Unfortunately fans support is quickly waning which will be the death spiral for pro sports in NOLA.

Unless you're a GOAT like Pop or Phil, from what I've seen most players stop believing in their coach after about 5 or 6 years unless you get a chip. It's just the way the league is.

And the offense is trash. Willie knows it is and the players aren't talented or smart enough to run his defense.

And Zion damn sure doesn't give a frick about Willie.

i don't see green being the coach next year if this is the case. maybe this is buyout negotiations going on or something.

Everyone knows that guy at work who is terrible at his job but everyone likes him so they keep him around.

Thats Willie in the Pels organization

Not comparing them to Willie in terms of coaching ability, but Taylor Jenkins and Mike Malone both lost their locker rooms. Just the way this league has shifted.

Keeping Willie cause we’re cheap when the entire locker room and fanbase is over it has definitely been the most depressing of all the depressing news.

Hopefully they front load the schedule with tough games we would have lost anyway and we can get Interim Coach Borrego after 10 games.

Then we all will just continue to resent the franchise for missing out on this crop of coaching candidates.

No foresight as always.

There is a lot more deception on Gayle’s part than the public knows. She is a lier and her past dalliances proves that out.She knows what she is and so does GOD.

Most of the time you have to wonder how someone so rich and succesful can also be so terrible at running a team.

But in Gayle's case, it's not difficult at all.

Good. I don't really value the opinions of players on a 20 win team. I can't think of a single current player that I would be upset if they were cut or traded away. We kept way too many of these guys for too long..

With logic like that, the Pistons should have kept Monty and got rid of all of their players instead.

Word on the street is that Green has been running the players into the ground with the practices.
