Dennis Lauscha says to @Gkatt_17 he expects the Pelicans to cross the 10,000 season ticket threshold sometime today.

He hopes to garner somewhere in the neighborhood of 14,000 season tickets by season opening.

i think capacity is like 16,500 so that's really good.

We have a good year and i predict a sellout next season.

That's impressive.

And I am wrong or did the Pels try and clamp down on ticket brokers?

You would be correct. They put the breaks on season ticket sales about 2 days after the draft specifically to prevent resellers from snagging them all.

The stopped allowing people to purchase season tickets online, I believe, in order to slow down ticket brokers from being any more of a stain on sports than they currently are

Can anyone provide context with what our season tix sales have been the past few years or in the AD era?

I can't provide Season Ticket Numbers but AD's first year was 2012-13 and the average attendance in 2013 for the Pels was 13803. 2014-2015, Monty's last year when they beat the Spurs in the last game to make the playoffs, average attendance 16677. LINK

I have no clue how many non season tickets they sell, but if they think they'll have 14k season ticket packages or equivalents, I would imagine the attendance this year will be like a season where the fans expect playoffs, rather than year 1 of a rebuild.

I think the best years have been around 11-12k but that’s just me going off memory. Pretty sure 14k STH would smash our previous high.

it really doesn’t take much to make the atmosphere at the blender exciting. If they just got everyone who owned tickets to go it would be awesome

that’s where the impact is over 41 games. Those Tuesday nights in January where I go “man do I really want to go to this game?”
