Yep. I am not a season ticket holder, so I obviously am not feeling the pain that many of you are, but I think that this is fantastic news about what David Griffin's expectations are for next year. Griffin signed off on these big price increases, because he expects us to be strong playoff team.

I noted that 538 has our roster ranked as #11 in the NBA right now. If we simply stand pat and you add in an offseason of development for: Ingram, Williamson, NAW, Hayes, and Ball, how good will that roster be next year? Top 8? Even higher than that?

But I don't think that we are going to stand pat. I think that Griffin is going to find a trade to improve the team. We could be a top-5 team in the league next year.

I get increases. I do not get hitting the cheapest tickets so hard. Those are the ones that are hardest to sell. Maybe their focus is to try and drive some of those tickets to the next tier of tickets since the gap is not that large any more. I hope they are not simply driving those fans out of the building and to their couches. We will see how it works.

It looks like they are trying to get them to move to the corners because they are the same price now.

Yeah - I'm just looking at this as an opportunity to improve my seats to a section with similar pricing now. It is what it is.

Unfortunately this data is 4 years old, but this shows the average ticket price stayed about the same from 2010/11 - 2015/16 LINK / Maybe the price increase is so large because they haven't raised them much in quite a while? When was the last significant ticket price increase?

Also concession stand cards are increasing and you can use them on merchandise. We also get an apron and crawfish paddle.

Do you know what they're increasing them to? We could use them on merchandise this past season as well. Nice info - did your ticket rep tell you?

I bought our first set of full season today in 109 and we were told we would have a $500 credit to use on concessions or merchandise

Heard they might not expire December 31st either. Didn't know you could use them on merchandise. Could have saved Santa Claus a good chunk of change this past Christmas if I had.

Just got a response from my rep:

“The price point you’re are in was between 5-600 a few season ago and we’re drastically reduced to the $350 you paid. The good news is the corner prices are the same so you can move closer to center court for the same price. You’re still looking at a little over $11.80 a game which is a really good price to see a team with as much young talent as we have. I hope to have you back next season.”

My seats got bumped from like $750 to $1,220 - which I don’t get the $11.80 per game he’s talking about. The math adds up to closer to $15 than $12.

That would be nice. I have told them every year that this made zero sense given that we were committing to the entire season.

Maybe he means $11.80 per game increase total.

Not a STH so really no dog in the fight. Maybe this increase is Griffin foreshadowing that we will have a competitive team sooner rather than later, and that we may end up a tax team in the next 2 seasons

A lot of crying in this thread. The DriveSEATS went UP from $700 to $770 a seat. Completely reasonable considering the trajectory AND upside of this team

Truth is the Poors have been getting off easy for years all while bringing down the resale value of the the people who actually PAY something worth a damn

I have some disappointing news for you if you think that's why your resale value has been low.

I was told that the marketing team’s idea initially was to get more fans coming at the beginning of the season to put asses in the seats. They don’t need help toward the end if there is a good record and playoff potential working for them.

IF your seats cost less than a price of a beer then it absolutely hurts the seats around you when they can list them at $5, $6, $7 and not be bothered. Raise the floor and everyone wins. Hate to break it to some of you BUT it’s time to sit at the adult table now

I was told that as well (with the beginning of the season being football season). However, given that you got the card for purchasing season tickets, why would you not attend the games after paying for the tickets?
