Do you have season tickets? Let me first judge the merit of your comments based on that.

quote:

Market value

The team has a .396 WP. Market value is what something can be sold at in the given market. All tickets aren't sold out at the current prices, so who would agree to pay 70% more for a product that hasn't been successful yet.

quote:

If you don't pay that price, someone will.

They aren't right now, so why will they when the prices increase?

quote:

It's not about merit.

You're an idiot if you actually think this.

quote:

You also want cheap tickets because you say the team isn't good this year. If they're really good next season, you surely aren't going to throw them a few extra bucks for the great value seats you have, so not sure why you're expecting it from them.

Not one person here is asking for tickets at the same price even. What we're asking from them is to be fair in their increases, and 70% isn't fair for the product we've seen. Period!

Mine only went up 10% but...

10 month payment plan is now 8 months (you have to be paid in full by season start, so i wonder if that was an issue)

Also default option is Mobile Ticketing - if you want paper tickets it will cost extra $100

You don't understand simple economics but are calling me an idiot.

It has nothing to do with merit and everything to do with supply/demand and market value.

If no one buys at the current price, that price will drop. This is all very, very simple stuff.

This all doesn't even touch on tickets being for next season, not this seasons team.

So, you do or don't have season tickets?

Market value
Justify that comment? Have you seen the secondary market for tickets? Why has the market value significantly increased?

$100 for paper tickets? That seems exorbitant. I know several people that split season tickets. Much easier to have paper tickets out (and easier to show to ushers when going in and out of sections).

I expected an increase but I just don't know how they expect people to renew with such a massive increase in one year, especially with a losing record. All of their price increases over the years, Saints and Pels, have been slight and have come after successful seasons. This is mind blowing.

I don't understand increasing the cheap seats so much. Those are the toughest to sell. A modest increase would make much more sense.

I agree that this increase is horseshite.

It's not like we're in the driver's seat to be finals contenders next season and the secondary market for Pels tickets is rock bottom. Why are the pelicans expecting current STHs to be ok with such a gigantic increase.

That's WAY larger than the increase after the actually successful season a couple of years ago.

Go look at the secondary market prices versus face value. They have been selling below face value all season.

The market value for this increase isn't there. Even with Zion returning.

This increase is based on speculation.

Between this and the increase I would be 100% out on season tickets and would just buy them for $10 on SeatGeek when I want to go.

Mine increased 60 bucks a ticket. I was thinking about relocating to the lower level seats but its crazy prices down there now.

The team could be winless and people will still go to see Zion... at least until the new car smell fades away

But by then we might be firmly in the hunt

frick no. That is ridiculous. Mine at a 10% increase is expected and I am considering keeping them, but the demand isn't there for tickets. I've had to give away tickets quite a few times, or sell them well below the face value. The Boston game is the only game I couldn't go to that I sold at higher than face. You can buy tickets extremely cheap outside of a handful of matchups.

I May be mistaken so speak to your rep, but Its just the people with the lowest price seats that it has the biggest effect on... they can relocate to the corners for the same price of $500. It’s an extra 150 per ticket, but better tickets if you relocate.
