Depends, we've seen lesser players get traded for more, but we've also seen better players get traded for less.
Even if all we can get 27 and a future 1st and send that to Toronto instead of 13, I still do it.
I'm thinking the Knicks do Knicks things though and overpay for a name.

Would much rather other assets from Nets than Prince, even if we throw in a middle/ late first with JJ.
Would also rather #7 and Rose for Lonzo > #8 and a future first. Probably more realistic too.
And we could still sign FVV if he wants to come here...

Which would work also. The future 1st would be a Dallas pick, which would like be in the mid 20's anyway.

I would take Prince for his salary alone. It's a bigger salary and he's kind of actually worked himself into a positive player. He would be perfect in a Prince/Turner swap.

But what exactly would he do for us? He is a SF and we already have BI/ Josh Hart there while losing our 1 true shooter. LaVert would be 4 million more and actually have the better role on our team.

In the short term Prince would be a backup SF to Ingram. Lavert would have no role on the team with FVV, Jrue and Ingram at the 1-3 spots.
Or as stated, flip Prince for another piece like Turner. A FVV/Jrue/Ingram/Zion/Turner starting 5 is a top 4 team in the west.

I gotcha I was assuming this is without landing FVV.
Still personally don't think Prince is worth his contract @15 million for a backup roll similar to Josh Hart
Would rather get LaVert to have the fire power and higher ceiling trade asset considering BI/ Hart at the 3.

quote:Agreed on the grain of salt, but yea, CP3 to Milwaukee makes all the sense in the world.
Incarcerated Bob (MASSIVE grain of salt obvi) is reporting that Giannis told ownership he wants help and listed CP3 by name.
Kinda hope it happens.

I like Lavert the player, just not the injury history. If we could net him in a trade I would be looking to immediately flip him.

I did not realize I say this as a crutch word/phrase enough to require multiple comments about, but, uh, thanks for the feedback.

We could afford CP3, Jrue, BI and Zion if we wanted to. Lonzo would be moved out with a pick attched. Maybe some rotation players get shuffled around too. That would be it.
Crazy thing is why would CP3 come here without Jrue still being here... Wouldn’t make sense now that 4 with a rebounding big would make the playoffs...

Just an FYI.
either.
This hypothetical has been floated for a few months so he's likely just piggybacking off others rather than his normal throwing shite at the wall.

Because people think his pure leadership for 2 years with no other veterans and shitty bench players will turn BI and Zion into himself. These same people don't take into account that it could be easier for Zion and BI to not lead while he is here, then we are stuck with the same issue in 2 years. Not to mention losing 2 years of players growing/ developing with BI and Zion. If he was 25-30 y/o and would be here for 5 years than its worth the reward.

Another Scoop B guess-
LINK
????Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson, M.A.
@ScoopB
·
Nets are interested in Jrue Holiday.
Players & picks have been discussed.
Have heard that Nets offer is Dinwiddie/Allen/Musa and a protected future 1st.
An interesting offer, for sure, nothing can be done before the Bubble ends and a trade window opens.

Who in the hell is Scoop B and why should we listen? Not being a dick, genuinely asking lol
Posted on 9/16/20 at 12:19 pm to J_Hingle
He's a guy with Scoop in his name that throws shite at the wall all day long and the one time one of those things happens he says "See i have sources"

He’s the incarcerated bob of nba Twitter. Throws a ton of stuff at the wall and does get some right on occasion. So grain of salt.
That’s a pretty interesting offer.

Change Musa to Garrett Temple and i'm good with that (not that it really matters much, i'd just rather Temple). I want either #19 this year or something down the line, like a 2024 first, maybe top 3 protected.
And if that's what the offer is speculated to be, then i'd think we could get much more than it, but i'd be very happy with Dinwiddie/Allen.
If this went down, Lonzo has gots to go too.

FYI the trade he proposes doesn’t work cap wise.
It does work with Temple instead of Musa
