Add New Orleans Pelicans as a team with interest in Thunder PG, Chris Paul.

Imagine A WORLD where CP3 and the New Orleans Pelicans have a reunion. That’s now seven teams with interest. Others include: Bucks, 76ers, Jazz, Mavs, Knicks & Suns.

He’s got a spotty record but he’s gotten some right. Grain of salt.

A year ago OKC would’ve had to attach picks and take back a bad contract to move CP3 and now they’ll get a decent return.

Having said that, i’d welcome him back with open arms. His vocal leadership alone would do wonders for this team.

CP3 on this team is "pretty good"

Most likely would include Jrue, Lonzo, and at least a 1st + a few 2nds.

If we did this we need to take JJ+Miller and turn that into at least a SG and maybe a defensive SF.

The only problem is we would lose an extra 5-10 million in cap space that we absolutely need at Center. Almost would have to have a cheap C waiting to take a chance on.

Will need to be a third team if we are going after CP3...got to be the Warriors and got to move Jrue’s salary to make it happen.

I also like the idea of getting CJ assuming he’s healthy.

Would make zero sense to trade all of that for him. We're doing OKC the favor by unloading that huge salary onto our laps for a couple years. They should just take Lonzo, a protected lotto pick, and some filler and be happy. Assuming the interest in Paul coming back is mutual. That's the only way the trade should happen.

We 'dhave our HC and Paul wanting to come play for him.

Its not about just giving up stuff...

We can't afford CP3 with Jrue and BI along with the rest of our roster. Also are we keeping and paying Lonzo along with CP3????

How are you gonna afford CP3s contract without Jrue and Lonzo, which would be the logical moves?

OKC is gonna take Lonzo and a year of JJ for him??? Y'all are telling me to get real....

That just showed me y'all don't want him. We aren't getting him if we don't give them Jrue and Lonzo. Any team would put together a better offer. You want him then that's the move. Its pretty simple.

Yes. We are.

No one is giving up that much JUST for a 35 year old bad kneed CP making 40+ million a year. We may have to move players around to make it work and recieve other assets in return.

It wouldn’t make any sense for the Pelicans to trade for Paul. If they are dumping him, sure why not... but if there’s a market for Paul like we think there will be, the Pelicans wouldn’t be in the bidding war for him. It doesn’t fit the timeline as the assets you have to give up to land him wouldn’t make sense.

Man I would not feel right trading out Jrue just to get 2 years of Chris in return.

I personally wouldn't trade for him for the exact reason y'all are bitching at me.. Point taken now???

Other teams will offer more than us, if we want him then we have to offer more.

I'd rather keep Jrue and either do something with JJ/ Lonzo or see how it plays out and shop all 3 of them for several players if thats what we choose.

I like you Dan but you have some very bad takes from time to time lol

Also a trade involving cp3 and us will 100% be at least a 3 team trade. Possibly a 4 teamer

It wasnt my take im straight up showing all of you that if we trade for CP3 at 42 million we would HAVE to include Jrue @ 26 million AND JJ or Lonzo due to cap. Plain and simple. I think that is a bad trade and we lose value. I was simply pointing that out.

Sometimes I do it just to piss off the same people that contradict themselves and make them argue with their self. Easier than me just being an a-hole and yelling at people that's not what I want.
