Don't follow this as much as I used to, but what are y'alls thoughts on pels making a move for rondo?

I'm just spit balling here, but it could make at least some sense and likely wouldnt cost us much.

(1) Avoid over paying a mediocre jrue holiday
(2) rondo on one year deal and would have cap space to make a run at a big time guy next year.
(3) bulls don't seem to have a need for him with lavine and Dunn.
(4) good facilitator for AD and boogie (yes, I recognize his character concerns and lack of a jump shot).

We had interest last year, and he and Boogie are boys. You will get a lot of hell no's, but we could do worse.

Yes, I fully expect to. But there were too many positives for me not to bring it up.

I think his personality is a bit too strong for what we need right now.

here's one hell no. I think Rondo is solid on a team with shooters and he can be covered up for his offensive short comings. But we need a guard that can at least spread the floor

if thats the direction we are going then Elfrid Payton is a better option in almost all regards imo

Maybe it could work personality wise with the big guys as alphas that can keep him in check. He could be a fantastic facilitator, and although he's not a shooter I know we'll continue to add other guys that can stretch the floor. He's a good backup plan imo

Rondo is a lot better than Payton.
I'd gladly take Rondo. Asik for Rondo. Let Jrue walk, go get Snell or Hardaway if you can, and Reddick.

I agree with this. Rondo wouldn't be the worst if we brought in a few complimentary shooters. I actually like that he is hard-nosed and a pass-first guy. He would avg close to 10-11 assist playing with AD/DC.

What do you guys thing about George Hill? Can shoot the three ball, has always played on a team where he wasn't a lead guy. Seems like a good fit with us. Not sure what type of dollar value he will demand though..

don't think its a matter of us, I think its a matter of Rondo wanting to play on a contender. He wouldn't come to nola...

Rondo has experience and has improved his 3 point shooting Ill give you that but inside the arc Payton is better than Rondo, and he's better in every other statistical category. Not to mention Payton is 8 years younger, hasn't quit on his coach and/or teammates in the past, and costs over 50% less in salary.

I like the idea of a pass first pg. Rondo fits that mold. But what we need are shooters for him to pass to. I want the Pels to sign Tim Hardaway, Jr.

Is Rondo going to give a shite for 82 games to get us into the playoffs? He can't half arse the season.

Hell yes, we should go after Rondo. He is a great leader and facilitator on the court and a great compliment to AD/DMC.

What is literally the worst thing that could happen with him? We're not a playoff team now. So if he's shite, then what? We miss the playoffs again?

Langston Galloway is UFA
his defensive stats were much better than you think and occasionally he can go off

Langston Galloway

He would be great to bring back. He is a solid role player, and he got sacrificed for the greater good in the Boogie trade. He could give us 10-15 minutes and ~7 points, or have a night when he goes off and scores 25.
