What if, Anderson was going to Houston, if we get back Montehujuagunas and Asik?

Here's my thought...Asik is the one that wants out, shouldn't that mean that in a trade to acquire Asik, it should favor us?

I'd be cool with it as a three-team deal with Houston

Anderson/Lance Thomas/Jeremy Lin/2014 1st to ATL

Josh Smith/Jeff Teague to HOU

Omer Asik to Pelicans

Maybe we can re-sign Roger Mason to be a three-point specialist (42% from three in limited minutes)

Also allows us to sign Carl Landry or possibly Tyler Hansbrough as backup 4

Very few players play the entire game which this takes into account. When that happens, the ball is taken out of other's hands yet everyone's stats increase magically. If a player averages 5 points and 3 rebounds in 3 minutes, PER makes them look like a super star.

Dell is nuts if you don't jump on these. We are talking a 3 point specialist for one of the top defensive centers in the league.

You can replace Ryno easily. Dorrell Wright does the same exact thing. Anderson's rebounding is supplemented by Asik and AFA.

If you want AD to develop to his fullest potential, you need an Asik.

Houston's also the one that has to clear the cap space to get a third star - like Smith - cause that's what Howard wants.

Do we really spend that much on Aminu if we swap our primary floor spacer for Asik?

Whether its Asik or another center, what this tells us is that Dell is looking for a legit starter at the 5, and that Anderson is the way he's looking to get it done.

That salary next year for Asik is crazy. Goes from 5 mil to 14 mil.

How did that happen?

houston had no intentions on keeping him or lin. thats why they did that. that structure gave them options

I'm not a Psycho T fan really...I prefer Motiejunas, but I doubt they'd give him up in the trade...need a decent backup 4 if you trade Ryno.

Adrian Wojnarowski ?@WojYahooNBA 1m
No question Ryan Anderson would intrigue the Rockets, but Pelicans may resist moving him without more than Asik in return, sources tell Y!
