Houston is about to get D12'ed. Love it. If Morey doesn't put Parsons on the table Dell should laugh and hang the phone up. Morey will call back.

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fill us in on this because the trade hits NO with a $15 mill contract offset by the 8.5 mill of Anderson leaving ~6.5 mill in extra cap space getting thrown to NO by my calculation?

The nuggets had the altitude, slightly better players, and george Karl. We have Monty Williams

That would be the only way this will not piss me off, but would never happen.

Ryno wants to be here, and is extremely valuable. I will take that over a guy that has had one good season. Asik is a good defender, and valuable defensively. However, taking away Anderson hurts the offense big time.

Asik makes around $5.6M this year, then $15+M in '14-'15.

Rockets are a division rival trying to build a title contender. Make them pay. Best Pels offer should be Ryno/Roberts for Asik/Parsons.

i don't think the rockets would trade parsons for jrue, gordon, or evans, once you consider salaries

Probably not...but they are trying the Heat Big 3 build here. They can easily sign a Corey Brewer-type we keep talking about if they are stacked elsewhere. Besides, they want vets ready to win now.

Okay so we actually save about 3 million this year leaving us around 8-10 million free under the cap in 2013.

Why is this even a debate?

ETA: Next year we run into trouble but crap

Well, someone has to pay that extra $4M. Clearing the cap doesn't mean you get to use Monopoly money.

That doesn't mean Benson won't do it, but it is a definite consideration.

they can blow their cap and lose parsons for 1 guy or use the cap room (or asik's salary) to get another guy and keep parsons, too. they'll take 2 players instead of 1 every day
