zaza as a 1-year stopgap could be OK, but he doesn't do what we need. his D and rebounding are so-so

he's a shockingly solid offensive option, though. he could work if AD does some dirty work

I've often wondered if the league would let Howard walk away for nothing. They depend on the Lakers being a draw and being in the tax. Maybe Stern has stepped in.

Nope. Just easier for LA to freeze Kobe for a year, bottom out,and rig the lottery so the Lakers get Wiggins.

His Per36 is 9.6 rebounds a game. He's a good rebounder. Average defender.

With the re-signing of Aminu I don't see this happening. Just gives you too many good rebounders without a good 3 point shooter

Have to agree w MM here. 3 pt shooters are easy to come by. Look at the spurs over the years.

Look at Dorrell Wrights year 2 seasons ago and compare it to Anderson's last year.

Now cut the salary in half if you want Wright.

Joe Ingles (shooter)/AFA (defense/rebounds) combo at small forward while Evans plays the 3 in crunch time.

I know PER isn't the most liked stat on here but for those who see it as at least decently useful...Lopez had a higher PER than Asik last year. By like 3 full points.

Arguably best defensive C in the game is more valuable than a 3 point shooter. Still plenty of cheap 3 shooters on the market.

arguably best def C in the game? nah. he is a decent post defender and a good rim protector, but lets not exaggerate.

edit: gonna start new thread for opinion on trade.

Looks like it might be back on...

@Lakers: Statement from GM Mitch Kupchak: LINK "We have been informed of Dwight's decision to not return to the Lakers."

Howard is the best.

But Asiks drtg and dws aren't far behind. He's a great defender.
