Weirdest thing I heard today -and that's saying a lot - is the team would be open to Boogie returning.

Dell would be gone in this scenario and AD would have been traded.

The belief is that the market won't be huge for him and he could provide the star power necessary to sell tickets.

Anyway, not a plan, just something that has been discussed..some people I'm the organization loved Boogie

I’ve wondered about this same thing. It would be a perfect redemption type thing if he could do what AD couldn’t do. He would be close to his family in Mobile.

That said, I don’t trust him at all and he hasn’t ever led a team to the playoffs.

Depends on dollar figure but I like the idea but Niko would need to be on team.

I already donated my Boogie jersey to Goodwill. It's too late.

In all seriousness, are we talking a one year deal? Something longer? I guess it all depends on how his stint with GS goes and how his achilles holds up.

That would be funny if he did

Now if he could get Klay Thompson here with him plus whatever we get in the AD trade, I would welcome him with open arms.

It would all depend how the market plays out.

I know you guys think TITLES...their job is to sell tickets.

If he will cost X amount but they believe that making him the face of their marketing will get X plus Y dollars, then they could sign him.

The one thing they won't do is a total teardown and have a 12 win season. That scenario is off the table. Boogie is definitely on the table

Do you think since they don’t want a tear down that lower the chances of a knicks trade.

I honestly don’t think that they have to tear everything up. I see Holiday and Niko being key pieces for the next core. I think that a top 3 pick with either Tatum and Brown or Unicorn and Knox would be a great start.

Why would that lower? Say we get Zion and pair him with Jrue and Boogie. That’s exciting as hell. Or even Zinger and maybe Reddish or Barrett.

I'm not against it per se. Obviously would prefer it be on a shorter deal especially with the injury concerns still being there. But if he finishes the season strong, especially in the playoffs, it becomes an interesting scenario.

A Jrue-Tatum-Hayward-Niko-Boogie lineup with some depth behind it is...intriguing.

I'm assuming you think Boogie would come here for the MLE?

That's the only way it happens, and ummm, hate to break it to you, but he wont do that.

I mean if we make that trade for Tatum and Hayward, we have no feasible way to make cap space..

The AD trade would have to happen where we shed salary in order for the Boogie deal to happen, and that trade is possible, just not with Boston unless a 3rd team gets involved

Try to think of casual fans.

Boogie is a larger than life presence. He is a name. He is a guy whose personality fits with the city.

Again, if you guys want to understand this team and the people running it, think of it as a business first
