This is being done to keep the people who have bought half season tickets and 12 game packages the last 10 years happy. There’s is obviously no shortage of people who want to go see GS in the playoffs. The code was intended for the fans who keep showing up for 28 win seasons. If you aren’t a season ticket holder and used the code you go to the back of the line. It’s inconvenient and disappointing, but puts things back as they were intended. If you used the code that wasn’t for you, you weren’t screwed.

I just pissed they would void the tickets without first sending an email or providing a refund.

Allowing STH to buy an extra 4 tickets per game just so they can flip them is also no way to treat your fans.

So, I reached out to a guy in the ticket office that had written to me about season tickets on Monday. He responded almost immediately via email and also called shortly after that. My round 2 playoff tickets were cancelled because I wasn't a season ticket holder (which is the obvious reason now), but I can "guarantee" playoff tickets for this season if I lock down a season ticket package for next year. I knew that is what would be said, but it hurts even worse to hear it said over the phone.

I also learned that they don't have any partial season ticket packages for uppers, only lowers. That is just odd, but that's A LOT of home games for a guy in Baton Rouge.

He acted like tickets would be available during the Insider presale, but he was more worried about selling me a season ticket package when I asked that question.

This, along with it’ll probably take a week to actually receive the refund

Maybe I'm an a-hole and of course this is a cluster by the Pels for using a generic code but I don't feel bad for any non-sth getting their tickets cancelled after they used the sth code.

Agreed

I know this may come as a surprise to you....

Not all full STH's go to all the games. I split the tickets with my parents. I can't do weekdays, they can so it works out.

Everyone wants to go to the playoffs.

I am no marketing expert. But if I only want to season-ticket holder‘s to purchase tickets then I would require them to purchase them through the season ticket holder account. The promo code is dumb because it will get shared

If this "refund" from ticketmaster is anything like other events it will also take 7-10 days to get it

All they had to do was make the code something somewhat difficult to guess in a handful of tries. Problem solved.

Per my rep they still had a good inventory of tickets on hold this morning. Also, the partial STH had from 10:00 AM to a little after 5:00 PM to buy tickets yesterday before they sold out. There were numerous chances to keep things the way they were attended.

It's about future ticket sales. They want to be able to tell everyone calling for GS tickets that the only way to buy them is to purchase a plan for next year. It's nothing more than a money grab.

They screwed up and left the gate open, they should have just ate it. I don't know a single partial STH who did not get tickets, and to cancel without an email is BS.

Just have a password for each STH. Once you buy your allotment the password is void

Rep also said the resale will be done with individual codes or a direct link.

Then split the playoffs with your parents too. As a 12 game plan holder, I think I should have been guaranteed a seat for 1 of 3 playoff games since I had a package for 1 of 3 regular season games. I understand that full STHs are more valuable to the organization, but there isn't much incentive for me to renew this 12 game plan if I can't get playoff tickets because they're allowing full STHs to buy 4 more tickets each. Just make it proportional to the plan you have and no one can complain.

Are they? 12 game packages for the lower bowl are $1500+. Season tickets for uppers are as low as $400.

They should allow each STH to buy one additional ticket per seat at the same level as the season tickets.

You're rewarding the fans who fully invest in the team. (2 lower ST since the team came back from OKC)

This year I could have attended all the games at the same or similar seats for a lower cost than my total STH cost.

When you buy tickets for Wednesday v the nets and Tuesday v the suns you get the perks.
