Advice Needed: Buying Camp on Tickfaw

Posted by acanni1 on 6/29/20 at 8:33 pm
We're a family with 3 kids under the age of 10 and seriously looking at camps on an inlet to the Tickfaw River.

How's the fishing? Hunting on Joyce WMA? Also, where is the closest place for my crab traps? Any advice is much appreciated.

If the Boston deal comes together what would our cap space for the rest of the off season look like?
Everyone who used the "season" code purchased at STH discount of $53 a ticket. They canceled 2,500 tickets per game and resold those tickets for $120. That's a quick extra profit of $500,000.

Exactly. Don’t claim you are canceling tickets so the common loyal fan to have access and then jack the price up almost double.

He said the cheapest. So I would assume upper baseline. I hoping he’s wrong.

Talked to a ticket rep. He confirmed that the cheapest insider ticket will be $93.

The press release has no information about how the "Insiders" will have access to tickets. Any word?

Rep also said the resale will be done with individual codes or a direct link.

Per my rep they still had a good inventory of tickets on hold this morning. Also, the partial STH had from 10:00 AM to a little after 5:00 PM to buy tickets yesterday before they sold out. There were numerous chances to keep things the way they were attended.

It's about future ticket sales. They want to be able to tell everyone calling for GS tickets that the only way to buy them is to purchase a plan for next year. It's nothing more than a money grab.

They screwed up and left the gate open, they should have just ate it. I don't know a single partial STH who did not get tickets, and to cancel without an email is BS.

Agreed. You were not guaranteed playoff tickets with a half season ticket option, only access to an early purchase. There was tickets available for 6 hours yesterday before it sold out. The ticket office should have done a better job of controlling the process if it was that important to them.

Did it for 5 years. It became impossible when my son was born. It's not as bad as you would think. On weekends the wife and I would make a day out of it in the city. I would do it again in a heart beat if my kids were older.

I would sell most of the big game tickets. Sold Clippers, Lakers, Heat, and Bulls one year and paid for the entire year.

Had the chance to do it. It was one of the most fun days of my life.

WLF had a bill passed this year that allows for helicopter owners to enter into agreements with land owners and hunt from the air. Its very similar to the permit/private rules they have in Texas. The bill can be found here: LINK

The state hunts were very successful. They have seen major regrowth in Pass A Loutre since they started slaughtering them a few years back.

I just went and bought the wife some Dramamine at Walgreens for a long flight tomorrow. They had Dramamine for kids. Might be an idea.

This.

I found a double banded brown pelican there this year. The island was full of hog tracks.
Got 7 in a row by pure luck. Two separate orders, my wife was on her computer and I was on mine. Super pumped :nana: :nana:
I keep getting "Product is not currently available."

I paid $840 per ticket last year. I have 4. Now its going to $1,050 a ticket per my rep. That's a change from $3,360 to $4,200 for a team who has performed way under expectations for years now.
