As a 4 year STH, this is par for the course with this organization. Wouldn't expect any different.
Cancelling the tickets that were posted for resale, while allowing the public that didn't post theirs for resale to keep theirs, would have been the far easier solution. This is just pissing off a large number of people. But I wouldn't expect this organization to figure out the right way to run things.

The Pelicans underestimated demand and are using the guise of "doing what is right for the season ticket holders" to try to upsell season tickets for next season. I also wouldn't be surprised to see face value increase when they open sales back up.

Let's be honest. The main reason they are doing this is because using the STH code allowed you to buy cheaper tickets.

Y’all find a reason to bitch about everything. No one was screaming for those hot nets tickets on a Tuesday night...

I was being sarcastic obviously with the 7 comment. And have no idea how many STH there are. but i doubt its a ton... i live 2 hrs away and try to make a game when i can. Obviously myself, and others want to go to playoff games. They are the one who screwed up, why punish the people who bought tix to go support the pels and be at the game. But thats not changing, its whatever. I hope somehow it comes back to bite them in the azz tho

Spoke to my rep this morning. This is exactly what happened. If you purchased tickets with a different account (email address) than your STH account, your tickets are cancelled.
It's upsetting to me because my STH account does not work as a log in for ticketmaster. I used another account to access the pre-sale on time, but the payment method is the same for both accounts.
I'm holding off my anger in hopes that my rep is able to make this right, but if I get some bs canned response I'll cancel my seats for next season and never promote the pels again.

I've heard it's around 10K STH or STH equivalents (two half seasons, etc).
No clue how many actual STH though.

Season tickets for uppers are as low as $400.
Where are you getting this? My rep said they only had full season packages in the uppers (starting at $1700). Maybe he said this because partial upper packages don't get you playoff tickets for this year...

Now they will take this data and use it to harass the people with sales calls who aren't season ticket accounts.

Over 10k for an arena that holds 17k.

This will absolutely happen, the STH password gave a partial discount. The same $52 face value tickets will be over $60 when we get the potential chance to buy again.

By what logic does cancelling a STH's extras on stubhub instead of someone who wasn't supposed to have access to the tickets make sense?
I guarantee a significant amount of the tickets on the resale market right now were validly bought by STHs. Why would those get cancelled?

Im a season ticket holder and have attended probably 95% of the home games over the last decade. I pre bought my seats and as a loyal fan who supports the team playoffs or no, I appreciate the first opportunity to buy additional tickets if i want. I didn't, but still i think STHs should have first crack at buying a limited number of extra tickets. We can talk about my dislike of resale scalping in another forum.
That said, this should have been handled like the Saints where you log in to your STH account to get access to ticket sales. It would have saved lots of confusion. The generic code got shared on this site within minutes of the STH email and it was a free for all. It does say when you buy tickets using the code, that they are subject to verification. So it should not come as surprize that tickets were forfeited.
People who bought tickets using the code and are not STHs cheated and have not right to be upset that they were caught. You can be disappointed, but lets not start accusing the Pels staff of screwing anyone over.
But if you are someone who feels entitled to get away with cheating then may i suggest you roll your bandwagon over to Houston and buy a Rockets jersey. You will find many like minded fans.

How are they punishing you? If you aren’t a STH you should not get first crack at tickets.

Those are lowers. You can get uppers for 400 a ticket but most uppers are 700 a ticket.

I wish I lived close enough to do a full season ticket package or split it with someone
on an unrelated side note, I put more $$$ on my credit card for 3 pelicans game yesterday than my Saints season tickets cost for an entire season

At the end of the hornets era, I had buy 2 get 2 free uppers season tickets for $800 total as part of a deal they ran for one year but grandfathered me in for three or 4 years.
