I thought everyone who did not make the playoffs were in the lottery?

Update: Spurs Guard, Derrick White, is officially out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury. Too bad we choked that Spurs game away and lost the tiebreaker, we’d be sitting in driver’s seat for 10 spot. Still outside shot looking in, but this helps our cause.

Now, if only we can get Steph Curry to roll his ankle, then we might have a shot at this thing.

its a tenet of my sect that
random stuff happens, for better or for worse.

i was gleeful when the boston celtics massacred lakers in game1 of finals.

but mchale hurt his ankle and the lakers won the next 4 by a point or two and OT.

someone even posted about currys ankle.

After tonight, 3 games away from 10 (Warriors)

We play warriors 3 more times still.

Win all 3 of those and we have a chance

This thread is depressing. He we not blown so many ridiculous games this thread would be about if we can host a home series in rd 1. Instead it’s about clinging onto a 2% chance we get the 10 spot lol.

The positive side is they aren't that far away. Unfortunately there aren't that many CP3s available to properly orchestrate the talent on this team.

its how we tell the men from the boys in the association.

gsw was in playoffs under mark. lost in close ones.

steve Kerr came in and suddenly gsw played with poise down the stretch.
champs. of course the core was older and had had horrible playoff series losses.

its why pels getting into playin 9th v 10th is better than golf.
the intensity and spotlight.

3 games back of the Warriors, and we play them 3 times. Each have 9 games left.

Minny has actually been playing really good lately. won 6 of their last 8, and 4 in a row, with 2 wins over Utah.
We need to beat them tomorrow. GSW has Houston tomorrow. Then we play each other back to back, at home. It's day 5 and 6 of the Warriors 4 game road trip.

seems like that would have a much greater impact on the future of this team than a rookie drafted at 10-12 that Stan won't play...

We have enough (maybe too much) young talent. Even if we draft someone high we should be looking to move them for some veteran leadership. That’s our huge gap

who at 8-10 is guaranteed to be a better contributor than any of the young guys we already have?

it's a lottery man. No one can answer that.
If Kira was really good, he would have been starting at the beginning of the season, as would NAW, and i still like both of those guys, but trading away a top 10 pick for this team this year is just stupid.

I would be open to trading Kira this offseason if we can bring in a good PG, like Brogdon.
There's an easy opportunity to upgrade Bledsoe and Lonzo with vets.

whoa I didn't know we were talking about trading away picks..

I thought the argument was which is more valuable: Pick #10 vs winning streak and play-in berth
