Yeah we can matchup with anyone in the league, Philly plays the same way as Memphis and we beat them. With the same rest as everyone else, I’m not scared to go against any team in the league.

I think you guys are greatly underestimating how much tired legs had to do with tonight. Not saying we don’t have issues but we don’t need to overreact either

Memphis is so fake tough. Keeping Ja in when willie already pulled the starters, I can’t stand them.

Myles Turner doesn't beat Memphis. Need another big body who clogs the paint like Jonas to replace Billy.

Memphis is complete arse in half court offense. When things slow down in the playoffs, Memphis will struggle unless they improve there

It’s absolutely a tired vs rested team, I had a feeling it may affect us tonight. Facing a top team on a home road back to back is rough.

Just wait we have to play Philly Monday. 3 games in 4 days tells me the NBA doesn’t care about players health

The scheduled loss should have been Philly, not the team that’s right on our arse and has beat us already

Pels were ugly out the gate. Memphis was ugly too.

Per @presidual (which takes into account opponent strength, home vs road, rest, travel distance, etc.), tonight was the 2nd hardest game of the entire 82 game season for the Pelicans (only @ Celtics in January harder). A loss is fine. Just get out of there healthy.

Side note: 4 of their 5 hardest games of the entire season are in January: @ BOS @ MIL (B2B) @ CLE @ DAL (B2B) They also play @ Denver and @ Philly. They're badly going to need to take care of business at home and against bad teams because that is a murderer's row of a month.

The Pelicans hung with the Grizzlies for 3 quarters and faded in the 4th like a team that's on a b2b road game vs a rested team would. Memphis clearly still had their legs going into the 4th.

a "schedule loss" This is so lame

That’s the NBA. Every team has like 10 on the schedule

I know, but we've now lost 5 of our last 6 to Memphis, all in 2022. We have to recognize that even if this wasn't a B2B, they kind of own us.

This team in a 7 game series will be a problem for us.

This is the correct thinking and why we are absolutely worlds away from winning a title

Worlds away? JFC man relax. We are legit WCF team right now. That’s not worlds away from a title.

We’re beating a dead horse here but we do have too many similar type of players on this team without an important skill set. 3pt shooting. And Graham usually doesn’t give us enough 3pt shooting either

Yep. I think that and rim protection will kill us in the playoffs. The good thing is I think we can take the first round series without those things and then our FO will know what moves they need to make. I would think they’ll at least address getting another shooter. Maybe we’ll get a high enough pick to get it

We are just as big of a problem for them. Road B2B, this was a scheduled loss.

We also have a 24ppg All Star not playing and his shots are going to Herb and Naji.

We're fine.
