after that horrendous defensive possession I think our only chance there was a buzzer beater

what in god's name were we thinking leaving anyone on an island with Dame

Rewatch it, Zion was never remotely in the play, it was for Ingram the entire way.

You can't even blame Ingram for not passing to Zion because it was clearly not an option and Zion wasn't open.

He had 16 assists and 43 points. Their whole team was shooting well. There is not right way to play him when he’s on like that

BI is gonna continue to work his arse off to get better, I have no doubt about that, but there is some mental stuff going on with his mentality in clutch situations and it needs to get sorted out.

I don’t know if it’s as simple as late game fatigue mixed with a sense of obligation to be “the man” or its more nefarious, but that loss was really on his absolutely piss poor decisions down the stretch. Several piss poor iso ball possessions and then just a terrible read off that final play.

It was a good play by Portland. They faked the screen and roll which forced Zion out of the paint and left Dame one-on-one with Zo.

What pisses me off is Zo jacking up a 30 footer with 9 seconds left on the clock.

You can tell by SVG reaction in the tunnel that BI went away from the play called and played hero ball again. SVG has to sit Zion and BI down and tell BI his role.

I'd rather see Zion air ball a step back 3 right there than SVG draw up a play with any possibility of Zion not touching the ball.

Good to see Hayes and NAW thought the loss was funny and they were goofing off on way back to locker room. They will both laugh themselves right out the league before they know it.

Ship them both off.

I would be PISSED after a loss like that.

You always force the star to pass it if you can.

Hayes won’t be in the league in 2 years and Naw will be lucky to be at the end of someone’s bench

This is also important, and more evidence why he ain’t it.

9 seconds left and you are the point guard, you don’t take a dumb fricking hero shot, you drive the ball and create a look for one of the two players that are clearly better than you.

BI’s decision maybe looks a bit less terrible if Lonzo simply drives that ball and finds a better option...but that’s not his nature

BI fricked the play up. Y’all hate Lonzo so much you are using him constantly as the scapegoat.

I’m telling you, Jaxson is a trust fund baby that has had life handed to him.

Not saying wealthy people can’t have hunger, Kobe’s family was well off enough, but it would not shock me at all if Jax takes his 15 mil rookie contract, bounces around a little bit, then just retires out the league. There is nothing in his time in the pros that tells me this guy has the passion to truly reach his potential.

I just don't get how Zion doesn't get the ball at the top of the fricking key. Any play on the wing cuts the court in half even with 16 seconds left

Lonzo had been shooting well from 3 and was open, I won’t blame him for that especially since if he misses we still have time to get a rebound.

Someone needs to pull stats on Ingram in the 4th. Love him as a player but man his iso ball late in the games is some of the least effective offense I’ve ever seen.

Who the frick is y’all?

I’m primarily blaming BI, open to the idea of blaming SVG a little, and think Lonzo did Lonzo things and instead of being a good teammate decided to pull a fricking Carlton in Fresh Prince of Bel Air and chuck the ball away instead of creating for a better shooter

at least 3 missed dunks/lay-ins that I can think of

that last buzzer-beating possession to close the 3rd quarter

the run they went on to close the first half
