That’s really on Ingram.

The play was clearly SVG putting our two best players in a PNR with Ingram and Zion and Ingram just went away from him.

I’m honestly starting to think there is some underlying resentment....Or Ingram is just a terrible decision-maker in the clutch(maybe both, idk)

Twice in crucial parts of this game Ingram seemingly ignored the Zion option in a clutch situation.

SVG: "Zion your completely unstoppable and you're the reason we're even in this game, but we're not going to use you much in the last 5 minutes of the game ok."

Why, when we can go to the guy who was 4 for 11, a total non factor and hasn't succeeded in this situation all season?

It's on the coach of Zion never touches the ball.

You give it to Zion, let him initiate.

How come Zion and Ingram can’t play 38 minutes?

Something we almost never run.

So why would that idiot draw it up on the last possession. Especially when we've all seen Ingram freak out in crunch time over and over.

They have an unguardable play with Zion and Redick. fricking idiot.

Right

Why not run the Zion/JJ pick n roll that has been pretty darn unstoppable the last 2 games, plus it guarantees Zion touches the ball.

Nah I don't think that, I'm sure he views himself, and maybe the team does too, as the closer.

I think the 1st one was the worst. I mean he was pretty much wide open and BI went up with his shot blindfolded. At least on the last possession Zion had someone on him.

Definitely wasn't a fan of Lonzos 3 either.

Or Ingram could've hit him on the pick and roll that was drawn up. But Ingram didn't and ended up giving the last good shot attempt to Lonzo Ball instead.

Good to see Hayes and NAW thought the loss was funny and they were goofing off on way back to locker room. They will both laugh themselves right out the league before they know it.

100% what any person with even an ounce of basketball knowledge would do. Hell, you could sit someone down that doesn’t know any of the players and asked them after watching this game for 47 minutes who on the Pels should get the ball they’d say “#1”.

Zion at the top of the key is going to generate a wide open 3 at the very worst.

36 points on 18 fricking shots and this dude can't get a touch at the end of the game.

There needs to be a "give me the fricking ball" talk from Zion. He's too young for that talk but it has to come at some point.

Coach shouldn't allow for the situation of Zion not touching the ball there, it should be unbounded to Zion and Zion initiate the play.

Did BI actually fricking airball that last shot? So clutch. Thanks.

Perhaps, that would be my choice. But it’s not a bad play in theory. Ingram inbound, get it back into BI’s hands, then set screens to produce a PnR and have a two man game between your best two players.

And Ingram, for whatever dumb fricking reason, decided to go to Lonzo instead of just dumping to Zion in the PnR and playing that two man game.

To be fair the team is really great at throwing the ball the Lonzo with no time left. I thought the shot was fine. I wish he would have been a little closer in when he got the bail out pass by BI.

They booted that up twice right before though, JJ was just fortunate enough to get fouled on an ugly play.

Hell, run point Zion. Even if he doesn't get to the rack he will be able to kick it out. A Zion drive and kick out will guarantee you a good look.

The play isn't the problem. Ingram decision making is awful in these situations. He needs to stop this hero ball mentality.
