The jrue they got is arguably the best version so far. He's the 3rd fiddle.
Provides excellent defense
Solid shooting and scoring
Facilitates well and his ast:tov ratio is better than 3:1
Maxing him is crazy, but you could do worse I guess

When you're a heavily capped team, it really doesn't matter that much how much you give your star bird rights guys
If Jrue gets the max or 6 mil less, it makes virtually no difference in reality
You're not going to spend a single cent signing free agents into cap space

Bledsoe historically has done better covering Dame than Jrue has, so if he shows up and actually decides he wants to play tonight, we should be good.

Not gonna lie, Jrue has really lucked into his contract year situations lol(not that I’m knocking it, couldn’t happen to a better guy).
But twice now, Pels and Bucks, he’s come up on his contract year playing for teams that can’t afford to let him go because their backs are against the cap wall so they are going to have to pay him above market rate to keep him.
Bucks did this to themselves though, pulling an OKC, their ownership cheaped out on Brogdon and probably shut their door on a championship that day.
