Maybe I'm looking at it all wrong. We got two great young players. Nobody has a crystal ball. Why not give benefit of the doubt. Both of these guys produced very well for being freshman. Let's take the wait and see approach.

With the run on Centers, its obvious they did need to move up and get their guy. But giving up an unprotected 1st next year for the 13th this year is absolutely insane. I bet other teams are crying saying they'd have given us more for that. How does Dumars make this big of a blunder after the blunders he made before, did he really not learn anything? All the happy vibes with the right pick at 7 are gone.

None of those are fetching a top 3 pick. Queen could’ve slipped to 23 or late teens where we could’ve mortgaged far less. This is a disaster.

We won 21 games and got the #7 pick, people need to stop dreaming of ping pong balls falling our way that ended with Zion. On most Draft boards Queen was a top 10 prospect.

OKC was gonna take him at 15. Then a run of centers happened afterwards. No way was he there at your normal pick. Right or wrong I think they moved up to make sure they got him knowing he’d be gone.
I’m not excusing their lack of getting protections on next years pick though that was bad.
