Deividas Sirvydis will play summer league with the New Orleans Pelicans, per sources.
A 22-year-old shooter averaged 12.5 PPG in the G League last year.
He had a career-high 34 PTS, 10 REB & 6 AST in a W vs. Grand Rapids Gold.

So basically a Technical Foul without the individual getting a Tech and the fine that comes with it.
I like this rule change as scoring in transition is a strength of the Pels.

Yes. Transition basketball will be more important now. That's definitely to our benefit.

We will have multiple guys that can push the ball in transition. I like it

Love that they are giving Butler a look. I hope he balls out and we can get him on a 2-way (assuming EJ gets a regular contract) or at least an ex10 contract.

So he's kind of like a skinny Jaxson Hayes with a proven 3 point shot? Seems like someone worth developing with Jaxson likely on his way out.

Really shocked John Butler wasn't drafted. I thought he would be a late first or early second rounder.

We legitimately have like 8 guys on our Summer league roster that would be the 4th best player on the Lakers.

Detroit has entered the summer league banner sweepstakes

Saddiq Bey and Cade still doing Summer League is wild. Though if they play more than one game and limited minutes I’ll be shocked.
If they do, more power to them, would love more proven guys to step into summer league cause I think it gives you a better barometer of whether the performances you see from rookies/SL stars are real/transferable, or just beating up on lesser competition ala Naji.

Dang that is kind of crazy. I guess they want Cade, Bey, Stew to get some reps with Ivey and Duren.

Most likely there to get some practice time in together. I’ll be surprised if either Cade, Stewart, or Bey plays a single minute in summer league.

Naji spoke to the media today after practice and let it slip that Naji, Trey, and Jose are likely only to play 2 games in Summer League.
Also, while Naji was giving his interview, apparently Zion walked into the gym to get some work in, which is nice.
Zion was posting 1000 stories on IG last night at some concert at a venue I didn’t recognize, so I wasn’t even 100% sure he was in town or if he was already in Vegas for the SL.
