There is a world where we stay the course and feel much better about the team this time next year...

The Bucks will be awful. We should have a high pick in the 27 draft(new tanking rules may or may not help us).

Fears, Missi, and Queen continue to improve. Fears is working his arse off. Queen looks like he is focused on improving his D and 3pt shooting. If Missi improves in year 3 as much as he did btw year 1-2... you might have a player. It takes bigs 3-4 years... here we are.

Zion's strong offseason leads to his best season and rebounds his value.

Trey continues to expand his game. I never understood why you would entertain trading him(young athletic shooter on a great deal). His value should be even higher next year.

You may be able to offload DJ or Poole at the deadline. Poole is an expiring. Teams will be looking to clear salary.

I have no idea what DJ's value is headed. He looked better than I expected last year.

I think we are a 35 win team with a chance to climb higher with good health and some luck.

Trade Zion.

Do not trade Trey or Herb.

And what were the moves that made to put them into that spot

So what would folks consider a successful season? Play-in? Playoffs? Ship?
In general & for this season?

This place truly never learns.

There's nothing to learn. You can't "learn" Dejounte tearing his fricking achilles.

Everything you are basing your opinion on has absolutely nothing to do with year 3 Missi, year 2 Queen/ Fears, and a healthy Murray.

Trey, Zion, Herb, etc have 0 impact on those 4 people and their abilities.

All 4 of those things are massive upsides to the season. No one is being unrealistic in evaluating Z, Trey, Herb by simultaneously saying those 4 guys will be better.

That's just blatant pessimism.

"Zion sucked for a few years so every player, coach, and team for the rest of the franchise history will end up the same way". Pathetic.

Why be a fan of the team? Seriously if you see no light at the end of the tunnel then get off Pels talk. The fact that y'all have actual hate or disgust for the team but are openly in a discussion on here is mind blowing. Mental illness level shite.

LOL

Troy drafted Cade, Duran, Ausar, and Stewart. While 2nd Coming Trajan signed Tobias Harris, Duncan Robinson, and Malik Beasley. But only one side moves you.

Sir this is Pels talk, only negative examples can be used to fit a narrative, positive narratives are not allowed.

He also drafted Killian Hayes and Jaden Ivey.

Weaver did some fine things, but he could not put it together and they never won shite. Langdon did put it together, and they are most assuredly winning.

Weaver has the chance to do it here, again. We will see. But so far he hasn't picked a lane.

Sam Presti also drafted Josh Giddey, Poku, Cole Aldrich, and Cameron Payne. GMs aren’t going to hit on every single pick. Trajan “putting it all together” is Cade and Duran taking a leap while making marginal moves around the edges to supplement including the coach. It’s been 1 year and not even a full offseason and we already going with the notion that they haven’t picked a lane

My brother in Christ,

We haven't played in a playoff series since 2024 and haven't won a playoff game since 2022.

Our supposed heir has never played in a playoff game in the 7 years since he was drafted first overall.

That same supposed heir is set to play for his fifth different head coach in those 7 years.

If you think there are reasons to be positive about this franchise, then you are nothing more than a useful idiot.

So I’m assuming the lanes are trying to win now or build around the young guys?

Correct. Win now tho with Zion as the first or second option is incredibly risky and to me not worth it. Depending what we would give up for a guy like Brown

The Saints went to the playoffs 5 times their first 39 years as a franchise.... They missed the playoffs and had a negative record 5 straight years before 2006. In 2006 we added a player that single handedly changed all of that shite.

Apparently that can't happen because Zion is so important its not possible for other players to change the franchise.

Queen/ Fears could average 40ppg but Zion might have a bad year so that's that.

Y'all are sad. Even more sad that you are basing the entire future on "not playing a playoff series since 2024".

Wow. Just wow.

As long as Zion is the focal point that the roster is being built around, the team literally can't succeed.

That's been proven time and time again.

What if the option is to win now, then in the high likelihood that it doesn’t work out. You can hit the eject button. Build around Fears, Queen, the Pels Pick in 2027. Then trading Trey, Herb, Zion, and an expiring Dejounte. Rather than just saying here Fears and Queen, you can have the keys. While also putting Fears in that backup PG to continue development and Queen off the bench.

No one is saying any of that. You two might be retarded.

Everyone is saying that this is a dogshit franchise that no one should have any faith in until there's something to have faith in

You should call balls and strikes. And there have been a hell of a lot more balls than strikes

Queen and Fears seem like they could be good. The process to get Queen was deeply flawed, which should concern you.

They keep saying Queen and Fears are the future, but aren't doing anything to commit to that future. You either go youth or you go for win now.
