Cade/ Duren/ T Harris/ A Thompson/ I Stewart= 2nd rd game 7.
Fears/ Queen/ Duren/ Bey/ Zion/ Trey/ MIL '27 = not worth it and handicapping our team?
The 2nd best player, from a playoff team that isn't as deep as ours, who plays our biggest position of need is not worth it?
You get Duren and then draft a stud SG/ SF next year and you are looking at the brighest future this team has had.

Bro the dude is just a dunker/lob threat they took that away in the playoffs and his numbers dropped dramatically... I would have been on your side if he had a mid range or something even if he was like a draymond green but being 6'9 yea he wants too much

He's still 22 y/o. We have not seen his best and you'd get him through his entire prime.
We are not adding anyone close to his impact or ceiling in FA.
You have to target these type of players in trades, guys that can make us better and give us a clear rebuild path.

I see your point here comparing the rosters. Our problem really has never been not having enough quality level winning role players. We have lacked a shooter or 2 (kennard types) to compliment Trey and a bonafide star.
Cade is a top 5 player and human in the league. He's the engine in Detroit. Everyone else is a role player. Everyone on our team is a role player currently, unless Fears or Queen hit a few more gears. I guess like 4 years ago Zion was almost a star, top 25 ish level player, but we would need him to be like Cade for this team to make round 2 in the West. I don't see that happening. I believe Zion's best days are behind him as he ages. He's not skilled enough or a good enough shooter to have an extended prime.

At that point you are going on potential. He hasn't shown potential to become a shooter. Just like zion he has potential and we've been talking for years if he adds a mid range or even a 3 point shot. But here we are. And you want to try the same thing with him?? At least zion teased us with his first game unfortunately Duran has not. But you know what they say if was a fifth we'll all be drunk lol. But go on ahead you got it.
