A second Pierre on the squad.

I don't know anything about him, or if he's still on the team or immediately getting traded for something. I'm not even sure if I give a shite.

From ESPN:

quote:

Pre-Draft Analysis
Strengths: Pierre is a smooth shooting guard who can score at all three levels. He also has some secondary playmaking ability.

Weaknesses: He lacks an elite offensive skill and isn't a standout ball handler or defender.

The verdict: Pierre piqued NBA interest with flashes of offensive talent. The question is whether his secondary skill set will develop enough to help him stick on a bench. -- Woo

Post-Draft Analysis
The Pelicans had been rumored to trade into the draft in recent days, but they wound up sticking here and making Pierre their only selection. He has some scoring talent, but he wasn't the most consistent college performer, making him a likely G League developmental player. -- Woo

Sounds like he's arse. He can keep company on the end of the bench w Poole and Hawkins.

Cool story I guess. Hopefully he's better than Reeves. Couldn't stand that guy.

Vecenie’s ranking: N/A

The chaos actor is back! Troy Weaver goes off my top-100 board to take Pierre, who can dribble, pass and shoot. He’s a talented player. But if there is a player I enjoyed watching less in college basketball this year, I’m not sure I can think of one, given his decision-making and dribbling. It’s always the Pelicans. Always.

Hollinger’s analysis: New Orleans went local with this one, as Pierre is a New Orleans kid who is not really a kid after his six-year(!) college career finally ended at SMU. He’s a skinny guard with some athletic pop and can shoot, but I didn’t have him in my top 75. Grade: B-

weren't likely to land anyone of significance but still funny

The drafted him to play for the Kenner Squadron and sell a couple of tickets

Old prospect that got better every year. He's unlikely to ever play for this team but you never know

I feel like this is contradictory.

Not necessarily. He's really fluid and good at scoring on all 3 levels. He is not elite at any specific skillset or putting up crazy acrobatic shots, dunking over people, etccc.

Sam Hauser is a pretty smooth shooter. Sam Hauser is not Anthony Edwards.

He has a chance to make the roster and replace Hawk based on how bad Hawk has been.
