The 28 yr old Pangos was named to the 2021 All-EuroLeague First Team and was instrumental in leading the worst team in the EuroLeage in 2020 to the championship game.

Pangos did not miss a single game all season and led Zenit in scoring (13.5 ppg.), three-pointers made (2.3 per game), assists (6.7 apg.) and PIR (14.8). Pangos ranked third in the league in assists and seventh in threes. Several other NBA teams are pursuing Pangos but he would be an excellent addition to Zion.

If we sign him, Let's hope this ends up better than the Melli debacle.

Is he from Gonzaga? Name sounds familiar.

I fail to see how Melli was a debacle. He didn't cost much more than a roster spot.

Cost you Wood and offered very little for the money he made.

The way I remember it playing out was the team picked up Okafor's option sometime in June. Then Summer League started in July and Wood did show up for the Summer League but he and his agent wanted to renegotiate his contract since none of it was guaranteed. And only half would be guaranteed by the start of the season. It was 1.5 or 1.6 mil if I can recall correctly. Griff didn't want to guarantee his contract and waived him and gave Melli 4 mil soon after that. I guarantee you the Pelicans were negotiating with Melli long before they waived Wood. So yes, Griff and Langdon wanted Melli over Wood.

No, Wood was told he would have to compete for a roster spot, and that's when he requested to be traded or released.

Per SL head coach Fred Vinson, Christian Wood hasn't seen any summer league action yet because Pelicans management and Wood's agent are moving towards working out a solution. "Hopefully things get worked out soon."

Per Vinson.

The part where it basically insinuated they were working on a contract renegotiation.

The guy literally sat on the bench for a couple of games. If all he wanted was his release, he would have left Vegas or not even shown up at all.

Oh ok I see now, you believe they will just come out and say he's about to be cut of they're going to cut him or trade him.

No team on their right mind says that.

Who said that? They wanted some guaranteed and Griffin passed because he didn't value Wood. It's that simple. If Wood wanted to be gone, he wouldn't have been there eriod. The fact that his agent was there pretty much says it contract related.

Checking out some highlights, I can see why the Pels are interested. He's just 6'1 so he'll get killed on defense, but he's a great passer into a crowded lane, good shooter (career 41% 3P, 81% FT), and judging by highlights has a good floater game too.

20-21 Highlights

I can see him running that 2nd unit with Zion pretty well in a way that would take some of the load off of Zion.

To me the main question is, do they realize this guy is going to steal Kira's minutes if Stan is still the coach?
