Now I think they would try to add extra draft compensation not to, but if all else failed Hawk wouldn’t hold up a deal.

If its for a big deal for a big player I could understand that. But its a fringe role player type, I hope the pels don’t ship out Hawkins- I think that would be a mistake.

Dont see them trading CJ's replacement which is rookie cost controlled for the next 4 years.

Oh no, it would definitely take a higher tier player than just a random player.

For instance they wouldn’t include Hawk in a deal for Jarrett Allen.

So basically Jonas and probably Dyson are our two biggest trade chips

Makes sense, they seem to be the most likely and potentially best trade chips pending what may come back.

Jose and Naji could also have some value.

I think Naji has at least 2 seconds worth of value in him.

I'd be interested in getting Duop Reath from Portland, and they might be interested in someone like Naji who's a pretty vocal guy that might help their young team for the future.
Reath is having a fantastic season and is still just on a two way deal. Would be a great backup 4/5 for us.

To me moving Naji for a backup big like that helps us with backup big depth, and also frees up playing time for Hawkins and Dyson, and even Jose.

I would do that in a heartbeat. Reath is solid

If he were not from LSU would you say the same thing? He appears to be a fringe NBA player on a bad team (and already 27). I would not give up much for him.

Yes.
I vaguely remember the name and thought he might have played at LSU, but i dind't even remember.

He's shooting 37% from 3 and he's 6'11. I"m not asking him to come in and be the starter next year, or even the main backup. He's just a 3rd/4th big.

Converting him to a regular contract makes him ineligible for a trade for 60 or 90 days. But I did just look it up and it seems you can trade 2 way contracts, which I didn't think you could.

He's a slightly more talented Wenyen Gabriel.

I’ll be honest I had no idea he went to LSU. I don’t watch much LSU basketball

I watch lsu basketball and am surprised he’s actually contributing in the league. More surprisingly his three point shot seems decent. Good for him continuing to pursue.

You think we can win a title this season AND you're ok if we trade Zion? If we trade Zion, you can't possibly still think we can win a title with BI as our #1. Just not possible.

I said I don’t think this roster can win THIS season. BI is currently on this roster, so I wasn’t saying BI could be our #1 and win THIS season.

I don’t think any player on current roster can be our #1 and we win THIS season.

I root and enjoy the wins, I’m just talking about chip this season.

Then you didnt. He was a decent 3 point shooter his senior year. Can you imagine practicing basketball full time and getting better. man crazy

OK, NBA is wrong and you must be correct.

Someone above said he is a slightly better Gabriel. That seems like a fair assessment.

New York Knicks aren’t the only suitor of Washington Wizards big man, Daniel Gafford, I’m hearing.

The New Orleans Pelicans who are in the market for a big man are eyeing Gafford too. In 36 starts this season, Gafford, 25, is averaging 10.4 points, 7.6 rebounds & 2.1 blocks.

$12m contract.

Easiest match is Nance or JV, cash wise, in a straight up deal, but this likely means a pick going out as well. Possibly also someone like Naji getting sent out to be redirected for more assets since the Wizards clearly can’t use him.
