I really don't think they are going to match, pretty much everybody associated with that franchise wants him gone.
They are probably going to bluff like they will match to see if they can get a sign and trade. Up to Dell to call the bluff.
I'm so confused right now. I thought we didn't have the cap space to sign him outright at 4/$48? I thought a S&T was kinda necessary in this situation.

AI, Copeland, Webster, etc.
Webster signed for 5.5 million per with Washington.
Copeland and AI will probably be long gone by the 13th.
So, if they match and we can't get a S&T, we are pretty much fricked.

I think we are in a win-win position. The pressure is on Sactown IMO.
This is correct

Any time I hear news like this it makes this Tyreke contract look so much more awesome:

@ESPNSteinLine: Why do Nets now believe they no shot at sharpshooter Kyle Korver? Word is Bucks, for one, offering Korver three-year deal worth $20 million

what happens when we wait for Tyreke and the Kings to make their decision, they decide to match and Igoudala, Copeland, etc are already agreed to deals?
Thats the issue here... waiting around with all of our money tied up is playing with fire
Webster signed with Washington BTW

3 pt shooters don't come cheap.

Why call the bluff? He's not a "make or break" player we "have" to have. If he takes the offer and we get him, great. If they resign him, we can move on to AI, Copeland, Webster, etc.
What I meant by "call the bluff" was that we should not do the sign and trade and basically force Sac to walk away.

The problem is they know they have us by the balls. Phoenix obviously didn't care that much if they got Ego, but we really do care to get Tyreke, apparently, because are trying to compete now...they know we've given up our pick next year and need to strike it big this offseason.
They know if we lose out on Tyreke, we've got no other options.

Maybe we already have AI's attention.

How do you know this?

I'd rather have a versatile young player like Tyreke for $11m than an old 3 point specialist like Korver for $7m.

Lopez and Vazquez pretty much have to go because of this trade anyway. Ideally we'd get other pieces back for them, but I'd rather trade them both for Tyreke than keep the cap space dry for next season. Especially with the deals we're seeing Tyreke should be a decent trade chip. I think Evans is much more valuable than Deng or Granger.

The Nuggets offered him 5yrs/70mil... and he already said hes hunting for a big money contract
we do not have Igoudala's attention, bub

Logic. Everyone worth a shite will be signed by the 13th.

To be clear, I meant we'll have no other real options in FA. We can certainly make a trade.

But it's not like their sole purpose in the NBA is to put our balls in a vice and twist. They have to think about their future too and everything I have read during the year was that they want no more part of the Evans project. There were some rumors that they weren't going to even give him a qualifying offer at one point.

This is what you really need to consider. What if we've already agreed to add AI, whether it's a FA signing if Tyreke is matched, or a S&T for EG if we get Tyreke? Is that possible?

Then he wouldn't be shopping himself to teams like the Kings. He's not coming here because we can't afford it, so just forget about AI and focus on Tyreke.

I guess I'll ask the question again
How were we even able to offer Evans a contract this big? We dont have the cap space to sign him outright. We'd need to dump Lopez and maybe Vasquez to make room. So wouldn't we have to do a S&T to get Evans?
