Who the hell puts a 14m/yr offer on the table for 2 fricking hours?
Well, if you had to pick an organization to pull that stunt, wouldn't it be the Kings?

They all seem to really hate him on the Sac Kings boards, but I wouldn't find it hard to believe he has better sources than Fletch.

Hopefully that means sac will go in another direction.
This is literally the same situation we were in with EG with the roles reversed.

Yeah, now we know how Suns fans feel when they got all excited and then were crushed. They were wishing so much bad on our team.
At least we were pretty clear about matching, though. The Kings still can't make up their mind.

This is a significantly different situation. The Hornets said from the beginning they'd match and they even refused to take S&T calls from Houston and Phoenix. The Hornets never took the cap space they needed to match Gordon and offered it to other players. The Kings appear to be going out of their way to find someone else to spend their cap space on.

Just because they pulled Iggy's offer, doesn't necessarily mean they will go after Evans. They are pretty fed up with him at this point and I don't think they are willing to pay him $11m and have him locked for 4 more years.

It seems like weeks now this deal has been on the table.

Sacramento is really pissing me off...just give up on Tyreke an go back to being the immature high school team you are
Posted on 7/3/13 at 8:56 am to Broski
sac maybe going after josh smith?
Posted on 7/3/13 at 8:58 am to Broski
Yeah, the Kings fans kept convincing themselves they'd have both Evans and Iggy, and now they're saying that since they pulled the Iggy deal they'll go all out to keep Tyreke, yet all credible sources still say the Kings aren't planning on matching. S&T Lopez or Vasquez and call it a day.

So you're telling me there's a chance!

If this:
is going to happen, why would we have to do this:

1AM As USA Today reported, source tells Y! that Sacramento has withdrawn its four-year, $56 million offer from Denver free agent Andre Iguodala. -woj
Did Dell know Sactown was the main competitor for AI, so he made an offer to a player that they would have to match to get them out of the race for Iggy?

And just because they "pulled" his offer doesn't mean it doesn't go back on the table if Iggy's agent calls and says "He wants you". Its all gamesmanship.
They could also go after Monta Ellis or some other big FAs out there.
Anyway, this is one of the pratfalls of going after a RFA. If you don't get him, you are basically screwed. Every other FA worth something has signed elsewhere, and you are left with either scraps or desperate trades. I hate this part of it: the waiting, the games, the "sources".
We shall see, but I am tired of this already, and there is a week of this shite to go.

Still some rumblings here and there that they may match, so it's very likely that a S&T goes down. May not be a major piece like a GV or Lopez, but we may not want to risk just the outright signing. That Sacramento article says Tyreke has been hoping for the Kings to offer 4/$48 but they've given no indication of doing so.

I really don't think they are going to match, pretty much everybody associated with that franchise wants him gone.
They are probably going to bluff like they will match to see if they can get a sign and trade. Up to Dell to call the bluff.

That sly son of a bitch. I'm naming my first born son Dell.
The second will be Drew and the third Jrue.

If they want to tank and add a SF let's make this a 3 way.
Ariza to Sac, Tyreke to NO, a pretend 2nd to the Wiz.

Makes him sound like a cancer, I thought Cousins was the cancer.

Why call the bluff? He's not a "make or break" player we "have" to have. If he takes the offer and we get him, great. If they resign him, we can move on to AI, Copeland, Webster, etc.
I think we are in a win-win position. The pressure is on Sactown IMO.
