This is what you really need to consider. What if we've already agreed to add AI, whether it's a FA signing if Tyreke is matched, or a S&T for EG if we get Tyreke? Is that possible?

We are not getting Iggy and I would really question any Front Office that would extend a $44 million contract to a player they don't really want as a tactic to have a small chance to get the player they want.

what real options are there in free agency that we would have had a sought at realistically? I mean I think now looking back on it TE is the one option out there that could make us significantly better. AI is overpriced as was Martin and all the other options would help but not be huge gets. I mean Copeland or Budinger or Webster like all were hyping are going for more than they are worth and are all just serviceable players. I think being all in of TE is the way to go. If we don't get him you try to make a trade that will net you a pick for next year are a nice player that will come off the books next year. This will let us continue the build next season.

I think we just need to dump Lopez, and with his great contract apparently the interest in him as well as GV has been high. They may have people lined up for Lopez trades already and are waiting for Tyreke and Sacramento to make up their minds.

How were we even able to offer Evans a contract this big? We dont have the cap space to sign him outright. We'd need to dump Lopez and maybe Vasquez to make room. So wouldn't we have to do a S&T to get Evans?

I'm fairly certain we have more than $11m in cap space.

Logic. Everyone worth a shite will be signed by the 13th.

We'll know before the 13th what the Kings plan to do. If it's a S&T, then Evans can't agree to our offer and the details will be worked out before the 10th.

If he agrees to our offer then I'd be pretty sure Dell knows what the Kings will do and will have a backup plan in place in case they decide to match.

I don't see any other top flight FA's out there that we would be in the running for anyway. I'm assuming the back up plan if Evans falls through is moving Vasquez and/or Lopez.

The Nuggets offered him 5yrs/70mil... and he already said hes hunting for a big money contract we do not have Igoudala's attention, bub
WHere did you see that they offered that? All that I have read is that they did not want to offer anything near the offer the Kings gave him.

If we dump Lopez, I may lose it unless we get another C in return.

From what I understand, yes we would have to dump Lopez or Vasquez to bring on Tyreke

But most would rather sign Tyreke outright, then move Vasquez or Lopez to bring in a SF and C

Not saying the offer to Tyreke isn't legit. Perhaps we are trying to get both - is that even possible? Of course Gordon would have to be dealt, along with others most likely.

Nope. Lopez has to go in order to sign TE

If we don't get Reke then we tank to keep our top 5 protected pick. Make the decision half way through the season depending on how we are doing.

But I dont think that's even possible. I may be wrong but I think we need to make the room before we sign Tyreke. I dont think we can sign Tyreke, then make room for him.

frick no. We are winning games regardless of Tyreke Evans this year. It sucks to suck. Ask the Kings, Bobcats, Pistons, etc. how awesome it is to tank every year.

You are correct. As of right now we only have about $5m in cap space but moving Lopez easily frees up enough for Tyreke.

If we roll with a starting frontcourt of Anthony Davis/Ryan Anderson with only Jason Smith backing both up we are not going to win much.

Well if we don't sign Tyreke we don't get rid of Lopez.

We could. Lopez and Vasquez still have value as trading chips reagardless of what happens with Evans.
