They’ll drag this out as long as they can. If we aren’t at the bottom, Gayle will keep him around

He would be traded t o a contender who would have to send salary back. Most of the players that line up with Jose’s salary as a return player would be a young guy that was drafted, there’s not alot of vets making 5-6 million. I used Rob Dillingham as an example, Minnesota needs a lead guard and he just hasn’t lived up to expectations, and any contending team would be fine trading a 1st knowing it will be low, probably would even have top 10 protection or something.

It's just not accurate to say an in-season coaching change never turns things around. I can think of one glaring example off the top of my head. When Lawrence Frank replaced Byron Scott with the Nets the team immediately went on like a 12-game winning streak and made the playoffs. Other examples as well. Not sure what Grubb was thinking....

Nate McMillan took over Atlanta in 2021 mid season and took them to the Eastern Conference Finals.

The 22-23 Nets at 2-5 fired Nash. Jacques Vaughn took over and went 43-32.

Both? Would be a huge surprise (unless the first was heavily protected, like top 20).

I would think it depends on the luxury tax situation. The team Jose went to might have to unload a first to lessen their tax hit next season.

Zion is using Thanksgiving week as re-evaluation of hammy and turkey.

Why the frick is Gayle advocating for him? She’s is fricking terrible. Our teams will suck under her leadership, she doesn’t get it and never will.

Why wait? Watch one game, win or lose, and it will be clear that he is not an NBA head coach

Something like Tari Eason for Jose

Would be awesome but I doubt it. I'd expect it to be more like ORL for 2-3 2nds type trade. Would love to get Anthony Black somehow.

Because Willie is a good Christian. Which you know, is very important when it comes to coaching basketball.

I told you, Willie is saying grace at Gayle's Thanksgiving dinner. It would be awkward to fire him now.

Jose has a player option for 4.5 next yr

So many people wanted to trade Jose the last couple of years

I remember before the season people on here were already penciling him out of the lineup.

He has the 9th most minutes on a team that plays a 10 man rotation with a 32min player out indefinitely and another 30min player that's missed enough games to give him his current minutes that are 9th. He should not be in our standard healthy lineup.

We really have our core (9) players
Murray/ Fears
Poole/ Herb
Trey/ Bey
Zion
Queen/ Missi

Then you have:

(2) playable expendables
Jose/ Looney

(2) Experiments
Peavy
Karlo

(2) Just there to be there
Jordan

After last night any competent owner would make a change this morning. Don’t look like that is happening. She doe know that Joe traded the lottery pick? He needs to go too.

Mavs are about to fire Nico but we can’t even fire Willie yet.
