It's a risk if he plays in game 6 and tears it. That's probably the only thing to watch for now.

The East is weak enough that they're at least comfortably in the play in even if he misses plenty time next season.

Make sense now that a lot of the players at that workout we heard about fall into this range

I feel this move will spell the end of Hawkins here.

I’m only trading up to get Harper which seems unrealistic. You can get a guy you really like at 7. 3-14 are all pretty close. No need to trade up.

This is such a stupid comment.

Hali's calf strain in June of 2025 will have ZERO impact on the Pacers' 2026 draft positioning. If you want to constantly post negative comments, there's plenty of fertile ground to cover. This was just dumb.
You don't think? How many calf strains lead to bigger issues. If not handled correctly, could lead to achilles issue. I wonder why Dumars made this trade now with over a week left until the draft? Should have waited just to make sure nothing stupid happens in the finals with injuries just to be safe.

Jesus Christ, any injury can lead to a bigger injury. You guys are so quick to point the incompetence finger at Dumars that you'll complain about anything he does (or doesn't do).

Halliburton will be fine. The 2025/26 Pacers will not be a lottery team. Find something else to complain about.

I’m fine with the trade but the timing is weird, this trade is probably on the table on draft night. Why not wait to see if a guy you want is there before making this trade?

It would make sense if there’s another move in place. If not, it makes no sense to do it now

Hawkins has not shown the ability to be an NBA rotation player, you don't make any decisions based on him being on the roster.

You are acting like they aren't in the championship because of the impact of their role players. Their whole team will be back next year regardless of Haliburton. They finish top 6 in the East easily even with Hali out for half the year.

You are talking about the difference of pick #23 to pick #18 at worst. Pick #18 could still be worse than pick #23 in this draft.

If you already have 2-3 guys you like in the late teens/ early 20's in this draft then its worth it and absolutely doesn't matter regardless.

He's a top 8 paid player on the roster who has not lived up to his draft position and salary. The chance of adding a guard will be high especially with two picks. If we take a guard, he's gone. His salary can be used to improve the roster elsewhere.

Nobody said anything about a lottery team dumbass. With all the stupid shite you post constantly, you have no right to criticize anyone. Your posts sound like a troll or a child. Durant had a strain that led to an achilles issue. Thompson, Lillard, etc. just recently. May be nothing, but do not understand the need to make the trade before the finals are done and right after the injury. That is all.

At 23, I want the best player available who can contribute off the bench in the rotation this season. I don’t care what position it is.

Im tempted to take home run swings at both picks.

Essengue at 7

Joan Beringer at 23

Only way out of this mess is hitting a home run so take 2 swings

We wouldn't make this trade unless there's already players we like at #23. That's the pretty obvious answer.

And again the Pacers starting lineup of Turner/ Siakam/ Nesmith/ Mathurin/ Nembhard is still winning many games

There could be a guy expected to be available at #23 that we would have taken at #15. Which makes the argument irrelevant.

#7 & #23 to the Nets for #8, #19 & #36?
Or 7 & 23 for 8, 26 & 27?

7 & 23 for 6 & 40 from the Wizards?

7 & 23 for 5 (&41?) from the Jazz?

7, 23, & future unprotected for #4, 33 & 34 from the Hornets?

So we basically gave up DD, Ingram and what might end up being a good pick from us or the Bucks in ‘27 for Murray.

That trade gets worse by the day….
