quote:How many years did Harden have on his contract when he forced his way out? Dame can certainly influence where he goes. The Pels will not trade BI and many 1st rounders for a guy who insists he does not want to be here. It would only make issues worse.
If this is happening it sounds like it's because Dame and the owner that wants to hire the first woman coach are not on the same page. Portland will not care where Dame wants to go and with 4 years on his deal teams like the Pels probably won't be scared if he they aren't on his short list. Make him give you a year trial and if it doesn't work flip him for something similar to what you gave up.

Multiple sources had earlier reported that the owner, Jody Allen, wanted to hire a woman for political, virtue signalling reasons. It was probably hard enough for Olshey to talk her down from that, and do what was needed to keep Dame another year. Now not only is she not the female champion she hoped to be, the prospect of hiring Billups with his baggage is probably getting local pushback from the same people she hoped would be singing her praises over Becky Hammons.
Seriously, you all really need to stop projecting your conservative fantasies onto the Lillard situation.
There is not a single shred of evidence suggesting this is the dynamic at work.
Lillard likes Billups and Kidd, he is pissed he can’t win in Portland.
He had a quick defensive beef with a Toronto fan on Twitter.
The rest of this shite is fantasy land nonsense.
Especially these cringe projections onto the owner.

Jesus Christ just for one day can you all leave the fricking politics at the door?

There is a widespread expectation that the Warriors will use the No. 7 pick and James Wiseman to immediately upgrade the roster, @johnhollinger writes. One name to watch: Pascal Siakam.

I know it’s scoop b but I believe we have the pieces to get BOTH Simmons and Dame this offseason
Posted on 6/28/21 at 6:20 pm to BallHawk
Or, they're trying to get Simmons to flip him for Wiseman and #7, which will then be flipped to Portland for Dame, and we keep Ingram.
Obviously just spitballing here.

I don't think Wiseman and #7 has a ton of value around the league.

Timberwolves and Pelicans have both checked in with 76ers regarding a Ben Simmons deal.
Wolves are in a weird spot for sure. But a 25 year old Simmons is still young enough to build around/with Edwards.
I can see something like a 4 team traded if GSW intends on trading #7 and Wiseman.
Philly sends out Simmons for DLo
GSW sends out Wiseman + Wiggins + Picks for KAT
Minnesota gets Simmons + Wiseman, Picks
Some random team gets Wiggins?
Picks go somewhere

It has more value than Hayes and #10

We trade for Simmons and you might as well consider Zion gone.
Simmons would ruin this team

Music to my ears. Will cost a lot less than other stars, and he’s on our timeline. One off-season with Vinson and a sports shrink and we are in the WC finals next year…

Simmons is a punk loser.

Guy could not give a shite and is one of the most overrated players in the world.
Send them Bledsoe and the #10 for Simmons.

So he could not give a shite but is the best defensive wing in basketball. Thought defense is 90% attitude ?
All I see on here is bitching that BI and Zion could give two shits about playing defense. So which one is it? I’m confused?

Simmons is completely one dimensional and it’s the wrong dimension
