Somehow an F seems generous

I love that the Hawks got an A and we got an F, but we are both projected as potential play-in teams.

Also he states that Poole is our PG, when Murray will be that role by the end of the year, with Poole becoming our 6th man (a role he won a ring playing). He conveniently leaves out Porzingis's pending extension that is going to vault the Hawks into a tax team next year or sooner, when they get desperate and use that $25M trade exception..

Poole was viewed as one of the biggest clowns and worse contracts in the league until pels fans started hoping.

Murray was really pretty bad as a pel when healthy. Now he’s coming off a major injury. I doubt he’s ever starting caliber again.

I prefer facts over emotional responses.

Hes won a title as a 6th man and had a really good year last year.

When he came back from his hand injury ingram zion and cj/trey were all injured.

This is a lot of media piling on with no individual thought

I hated the Dumars move but I have thought most of the moves they have made have been perfectly fine.

The Queen trade was godawful, but everything else has made some level of sense

I hated the Queen trade as much as anyone. It was absolutely ludicrous to give up that pick unprotected for Queen. However, I agree with Bunch, this is group think by the media (Kevin Pelton in general relies heavily on computers and numbers and has minimal nuance to his stances). I haven't seen one article written talking about the potential of a Zion/Trey/Herb trio leading the team. Poole is now a third option which I think is a good level for him. . I actually agree with Jake Madison when he said that it was pretty good asset management by turning one year of CJ into at least two of a similar caliber player making similar money. The one area that I would ding the front office for, outside of the Queen debacle, is not getting a real starting NBA center. The center position is my single biggest concern heading into the season.

I think you already know thats a weak comp. Poole has had a good season after an expanded role. Posey was trash

I have no problems with the grades right now. What we did was radical and definitely not the path that most in the league would take.

I'm more interested in the results now. How this plays out is more meaningful to me than what they did to get here. Either they will look like geniuses or it blows up in their faces.

We won 21 games last year. We are going to improve. We are projected to win 32.5 games next year. I think that's an easy over. Let's say we win 36 games with a solid finish. We end up slightly out of the play in. Is that a disastrous outcome?

The weird thing about all of this is they say we had a horrible offseason, the worst in the league. Yet, we are projected for the biggest turnaround (gambling wise). I'm looking and I don't see any others teams with 10+ game swings. Is Vegas way off?

He was not an efficient player last year.

So Dejountae Murray pt. II

All things considered, no it wouldn't be disastrous.

But the zion era, I would say anything less than a top 6 seed is disappointing considering how little on court he's contributed and we essentially lit our assets on fire.

What metric are you using to determine that? 59% ts is plenty fine for a guard that shoots off the dribble, and he should get even more open looks with Zion.

37.8 3p shooting on volume isnt bad either.

Poole had a true shooting percentage of 59.1%. Well above league average. He was extremely efficient last year while leading to a per 36 minute of:

25 points, 5.5 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals. He was flat out very good last year. Time will tell if he will keep it going.

Just for reference, CJ reached 59% TS once in his career while Ingram never did it. Poole done it twice now.
