I just want to know, the chatter about Whitmore hiding something medical during workouts, if it wasn't serious why hide it? I'm guessing it must be something pretty big.

I have to think that the trade market is going to heat up after the draft.

Honestly I think that's 2 fine comparisons, the one Pelsu made about Bufkin and NAW, and then Hawkins and Peja. Just an ABSOLUTE pure stroker.

I will never shite on a draft pick when it fills one of our biggest needs. We needed a shooter that can move off screens in the worst way, and we got it. I don’t see the problem?

All of the objections we come up with, they surely see them too. So why would they do what they did?
Obviously Whitmore's medicals scared them, and with the injury issues on this team, can you blame them for not taking that risk?
So why not trade back? The Pels have traded back multiple drafts, and reportedly were ready to trade back if Haliburton had fallen to them where they picked Kira. I have to imagine either they didn't see a trade back they liked, or they really liked Hawkins.
If they really liked Hawkins and already know things like Willie refused to play Kira and CJ together because of defense, then why would they pick Hawkins if his size/defense probably limits his minutes on the court. I would assume either they expect Borrego to change Willie's mind on valuing defense over offense, they think Hawkins is better at defense than the people melting here do, or they think CJ won't be here when Hawkins is ready to get minutes.
I'm not a draft head, I don't know a ton about Hawkins or most of these guys, but if Hawkins is a legit good movement shooter, he seems like a good candidate to take CJ's minutes in a 6th man role when they are forced to dump CJ to avoid the tax.
I'm not saying the team is infallible, just that they aren't dumb and ignorant, and a single is better than a Jaxson Hayes and NAW.

And that was the Peja special was shooting off of screens, and corner 3s, and stop and pop 3s, and just all of the 3s. Hawkins is THAT guy.
