i think yall are underestimating bosh
he was a 20/10 beast w/the raps, mostly on the post
he has a deadly mid range shot, now can shoot 3's, and plays smart defense
plus he's well regarded as a teammate, and has the hardware to command respect, unlike harden & howard. it might sound silly but i think bosh would quickly become the alpha dog on that team, for the better

Danny Granger to the Heat. 2 years 4.2.
Basically the BAE.

bosh/howard/harden/parsons plus MLE-types, rookie deals and ring chasing vets...sounds a lot like the heat (with the obvious exception that nobody else is lebron)
that team doesnt need an elite point guard, and it only needs 2 or 3 solid bench guys
Howard/Harden/Bosh would make 57 mil combined.
You have beverly(1 mil)/Cannann(1 mil)/Garcia(1.3 mil)
That's 61 Mil on the books and it's curious if they'll find decent depth with not much space.
Parsons might be gone too if someone offers 12 mil(dallas wants him)

Free agent Danny Granger has agreed to a two-year, $4.2 million deal with the Miami Heat, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Heat are going to be so old

The Rockets owner preached his willingness to pay the tax when luring Howard, so I'd bet on Parsons staying.

tax line is $77MM
rox will have plenty of room above the cap to re-sign parsons, and as above, have indicated they'll pay the tax for a couple years if necessary
bosh/parsons/howard/beverley/harden is pretty strong first 5, plus they'll still have jones, montiejunas and casspi

That bench scares no one

Cavs especially active in trade talks today, I'm told. "We are going to make some moves, soon," says team source.

the only bench that scared anyone this year was the spurs. OKC's bench sucks, portland's bench was adequate, clips was mediocre
denver has been trying to years to win with depth, and gotten nowhere
houston would have the full MLE and the BAE to work with

As I have said before that sounds all too familiar.

Terrence Jones is a better player than most teams have coming off the bench, IMO. Agree about the rest though.
ETA: spelling

It sounds more than silly. It sounds ridiculous. Again, I'm all for anything that involves the Rockets running less offense through D12.

This. He fits about as well as anyone with Harden and Howard. A stretch 4/5 that doesn't need touches and can pass? A big who can play defense from the 3pt line to the rim?
Still questions about Howard and Harden, but Bosh (outside of LeBron) is probably the best guy they could add to those 2.

OKC's bench sucks,
Ehh I would put them at mediocre. Jackson/Lamb/Adams/Jones III isn't a bad start.

clips was mediocre
I'm no clips fan but that's false.
Collison(last year)Crawford/Redick/Dudley/Davis
That ain't mediocre.

i'm enjoying the convo so keep it coming
1) if everyone could team-build like the spurs they'd be doing it
2) adams & jackson can play, lamb & jones3 did nothing. shite they had derek fisher playing crunch time minutes
3) clips were desperate for any live body to sub in for griffin/jordan, and had nothing. davis is a minus at both ends and dudley did nothing of note
4) denver has been the league's deepest team (on paper) outside of the spurs for a while now. you would think that if anyone could survive injuries it would be them, but they didnt. they need a star and i guarantee you they'd trade depth for a stud right now and live with a thinner bench
bosh on the rockets would be bad news for the rest of the league

After Heat have signed Danny Granger and Josh McRoberts, source with knowledge says "get ready," they likely have another move coming.
Also told some others pursued by Heat (Pau Gasol, Trevor Ariza, Luol Deng) are not interested in "the small money."
It seems like they would be out of exceptions besides the minimum. What move do they have left that you would have to "get ready" for it? Not resigning Wade and trading Eric Gordon into his cap space?

Lot of ppl pointing out Miami's $2.2M trade exception. Chances of them acquiring Morrow via that is slim for several reasons:

Amin Elhassan
1. gotta get other team to agree to S&T with you (that's big)
2. Gotta get FA to agree to $2.2M salary (also big...remember: Meeks got $19M)
Amin Elhassan
3. Even if you get points 1 and 2 down, you have to have something of worth to send back to other team (otherwise, why would they do it?)
Amin Elhassan
And, of course, this RT @MarkDeeksNBA: @AminESPN Also can't bring in players via sign & trades if they finish above the apron after trade.

Ya'll are freaking out about a 30 year old who changed his game to a more perimeter oriented approach in Miami. Yes, people forget what a badass Bosh was in Toronto. People are also assuming that the Rockets will get Bosh from Toronto, which is what they damn well better be getting for $24m/year.
