ESPN sources say Rockets are "heavily engaged" with Chris Bosh in attempt to get Bosh to leave Heat in free agency. Story hits online soon
More fuel to the LeBron to Cleveland fire.

Bosh to the Rockets causes us more of an annoyance.
Balance of power is weighted against us.

I'm told, by multiple sources now, LeBron agent Rich Paul told Cavs he's impressed w what they've done and what they can still do to roster.

Bosh aint going anywhere if Bron stick around.

would really suck if Bosh goes to Rockets and Melo to Lakers. Also sucks that we may have given a poorly protected 1st rounder for Asik, a player everyone knew they had to unload to draw a FA and now the rumors are they may send Lin (the other who they needed to unload) to Philly but have to unclude at least a 1st rounder (maybe ours)to do so.

Asik is good and Lin is not.

Heat president Pat Riley's meeting with LeBron James is expected to be in next 2-3 days at a to be determined location, a source said.

Asik is arguably the best defensive center in the NBA and fits like a glove on this team.
Lin is a below average PG
Very big difference

Lin is a pretty good third guard in a backcourt with solid starters at PG and SG (would be his best role IMO). Definitely not a player worth 15mil.

Pretty much.
He's a below average starter.

So if LeBron isn't meeting with Riley until tomorrow or Wednesday, July 8th or 9th, he and Melo are really screwing the rest of the league. That will only leave 1-2 days before the signing moratorium is lifted. As boring as the last week has been, once LeBron and Melo decide things will start flying fast and furious.

I think there's a chance some teams start learning that they are out of the sweepstakes and they may make a splash a day or two early. That could start the gears in motion.

Dallas has already started moving on, so it hasn't frozen the whole market, but a good bit is on hold. Luol Deng may well have agreed to go to Atlanta already if the LeBron/Melo situations were resolved. Marvin Williams is being held up too. That certainly affects the Pelicans who are no doubt waiting to see what the scraps of the SF market look like.

I saw something say that he announced his decision at the conclusion of his Nike basketball camp back in 2010. I believe that camp closes shop on Wednesday or Thursday.
ETA: Woj just tweeted that LeBron's agent is pushing hard for him to return to Cleveland.

Well yeah. 3/4 of the league are on terrible contracts. Doesn't make him a below average PG
Thoughts on our own PG making $11m a year with a lower career PER than Lin?
League average PER is 15, which is right where Lin and Holiday are.

Something tells me the agent doesn't have the pull that everyone thinks he does.
I seem to recall from the last time this happened that the group of assholes he surrounded himself since HS were the guys he was really keeping counsel with and they were pushing hard for Miami.
