He sacrificed longterm money last year to set up a pay day this offseason. If he's coming cheap it's because not playing in Houston tanked his stock with everybody.

Ok so assuming we bring back Cole (which I thought would have been a no brainer) does this seem reasonable/realistic?

Bring back DC
sign Mbah a Moute to vet min
S&T Douglas and Withey to Knicks for smith
Seth Curry and He Tianju start season on roster

What about Landry Fields? played for the Knicks when d'antoni was the coach. Same offense run by Gentry. Averaged about 10 per game for the 2010-2012 Seasons. Plays a position we need help at.

Signed with anybody yet? What y'all think about him?

He proved he was a pretty capable two way wing guy in PHI. He was getting a lot of press for his shooting and defesne. Grnted, his shooting fell off big time, but his month of NOV had people buzzing.

He was buried in HOU, and rightfully so. They had veteran depth there and were contending for a title. I think people think bc he didnt play that he is going to be some cheap get. PHI dumped him bc of his looming RFA.. it's not like he was some broken player. Everyone knew he was going to try and parlay his 1 year deal, RFA status into $$$

I mean, there are 12 teams interested in him. Id love to have him, obviously. We will see

I don't know. He had a pretty disastrous few months. I'm sure teams are very interested but I'm not sure anyone is interested enough to make him a full MLE guy for multiple years.

Free agent LaMarcus Aldridge will sign with the San Antonio Spurs, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

I think the worst part of this is it suggests Pop isn't riding off into the sunset with Duncan in a year or 2.

Fml.

On the one hand, Portland is no longer a playoff team, and the Spurs were. So it's a positive.

On the other, the Spurs gain at least another 5 years of title contention.

ok so FA is pretty much done now. how stacked is the west? fricking ridiculous. who makes the playoffs?

thunder may be the only team in their division. utah got so good at the end of last year but did nothing during the offseason to get better

the entire southwest probably?

then warriors and maybe clippers?

The shitty thing for me is that I like the Spurs when they aren't fricking us over. In other words, when we're out of it.

I'm not too upset about it. The Spurs were gonna be the Spurs regardless. This cripples Portland.

OKC and GS, easily, out of their divisions. Maybe Utah, PHX, and the Clips will still be feisty even w/o a center. Otherwise, I don't see any of the other teams in those divisions coming close.

Looks like all 5 SW teams again. And Dallas was going to tank if they whiffed on Jordan

Well at least they won't tank for Ben Simmons.
