I mean honestly its mostly hype. But you can make a case for deserving saying some of the stats hes putting up as a rookie are ridiculous; the same could be said for Chet- although Chet is on a winning team and technically second year.

I just find it funny people get agitated every year in regards to fan voting top ten. I mean its fans- not players/coaches. I don’t think Zion/BI honestly haven’t played like consistent all stars this year until after the IST loss to the lakers. So I don’t have an issue with any of those guys above them.

here’s what the average NBA fan knows about the pelicans players:

-Zion, fat
-Ingram, traded by lebron
-CJ, used to play with lillard

everyone else, who?

He's hardly played in 4 years. He plays in a tiny market. And his numbers this year are far from eye popping.

We aren’t a marketable team

We aren’t a trustworthy team

A lot of players have much better stats than our front line guys and they don’t have the stench of still being untrustworthy health or clutch wise after 5 seasons.

It is what it is. We have zero all stars this year. That’s okay. That’s not the ultimate goal at the end of the day.

It’s to get better as a team and actually have team success for one of the few times in New Orleans Basketball history.

Sengun 10000% deserves it over anyone on our team and he probably won’t even get it. And that’s even with him being a likable, Marketable Euro Star in a bigger and more popular nba market.

For the record, Wemby, Kat, and Chet all deserve their flowers as well. If you are going to use examples on how the voting is inaccurate or flawed, try to use better examples.
