Vs magic
Vs wolves
@Mavs
@Bulls
@Pacers

We will easily be favorites to win in all 5 of these matchups so how important is this stretch? Schedule gets much tougher after this. I think going 4-1 is very crucial in the these next 5 games. 5-0 would be great but there will almost definitely be 1 let down game.

If we finish 3-2 that’s still ok, but the schedule is going to get tougher. Any other record in these next 5 games would make the next 2-3 following weeks very nerve wracking.

They should go 3-2 at worst, barring injuries

Gordon is playing WAY above his career numbers in both 3 point shooting and rebounding. 58% on 3 vs a 30% career average and per 36 he's averaging 10.3 rebounds vs. 7.9 for his career. I can maybe accept that he's a good 3 point shooter, although we've seen month long flashes and fails with Tyreke before, but why would his rebounding suddenly improve so much? It seems like it's most likely an unsustainable hot streak. Hopefully AD's length bothers him like it does everyone else.

look at their overall 3pt shooting though
gordon .588
fournier .552
vucecic .400
simmons .533
DJ .438

they are taking and making 73/168 43%

my guess? they are finally playing him at the 4. harder to grab rebounds with 2 other bigs (some combo of Ibaka, Vucevic, Biyombo, even Green last year) on the floor with you.

he put up 9.8 per 36 in 15/16 over 1800 minutes.

The shooting is the flukier thing to me.if he ends up above 34% on 4.5 3PA/g I'll be shocked.

I could live with 3-2 if the losses are on the road - that keeps us in decent position until Rondo gets back. Tonight's game will tell us a lot.

That isn't close to sustainable.

I havne't watched them play, but have noticed there record and who they've beaten, and seen Gordon/Vucevic/Fournier have been playing well. They may turn out to be a surprising good team this year, but they aren't going through the season shooting 40%+ from 3.

Well, 0-1 to start this stretch. I have a feeling the team shows up Wednesday night at home before road trip. 3-2 would be nice at this point.

I feel like 4-1 is what this team should do, but I also have no confidence in that.

I'd take 3-2. 2 wins or less, and I'll be ready to write this team off for the season based on how tough the West is, and this team just not giving us much of any reason to think we can win 45+.

Frustrating, this team should be a near 50 win team IMO.

Shel
Vegas said 39. hill is out for year and rondo is a maybe Hanukkah before in 100% shape.
Should 50?
Jrue is not who you wish he is.
Jameer wont stay healthy because he will be intentionally ( "carelessly") injured.
In these 5 games does jrue score 20 3 times? 25 once?
TWolves are better than this thread suggests.

Jrue is exactly the player I think he is. So is Jameer(not good)

I also don't think very highly of Rondo.

We should still be an auto 45 win team and push for 50.

I dont mean to pry but how are you so upbeat re 45 or 50 wins when your opinion of the guards is low and the slew of would be sf's are mediocre? You cant win 50 with 2 greats and no bench, no sf and no pg. Yes even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then so the not greats will have good games but not that you can count on.
