I don’t think the idea of making the others beat you is a bad move by Gentry. Only down 5 on the road with your players getting decent rest.
Just need to get Niko a quick shave. The core should be able to play the most of the 2nd half.

All things considered, were pretty fortunate to only be down 5. Need to get AD involved early in the 2nd half. He seemed pretty non existent for a large portion of the 1st half.

They let nurkic be aggressive down low (extending his arm), but rondo does it and gets called offensive charge.
Can't complain about the calls, but I hate that nurkic gets away with a lot. He's a huge reason why they're up. I want him in foul trouble.

Weathered the Solomon Hill storm and Aminu getting hot. Need to figure out how we want to defend the pick and roll that’s killing us and then we’ll be good.

Portland has played about as well as they could, and we have played shitty with a long stretch of no scoring, so to only be down 5 isn’t bad. We need to come out with a solid 3rd and be tied or winning going into the 4th.

Not really. Pretty bad half. Actually very bad half, but only down 5 so that’s good.
We kind of played like shite. Really bad Defense, couldn’t defend Nurkic, AFA stroking it, AD playing really poorly, Hill was absolute trash.
Jrue played great and getting to the line kept us in it.
AD has to come out and play some fricking basketball.

I’m surprised to see AD got 18 minutes that half. I felt like he was barely out there.
