Clippers had a great trade deadline. Got Garland for nothing. Got a haul for Zubac (2 firsts, plus a young big and Mathurin).
I know Zion is a POS, but 3 firsts for JJJ, 2 for Zubac, 2 for AD
He had to have some value right? And we just refused to trade him while he's actually healthy for once?

Wouldn't mind going after Cam. Not like our locker room can get much more toxic and we could use the shooting.

Cam will have numerous suitors which means we lose. Nobody who has options is coming to the franchise of last resort. If you have any skills you only come to NOLA by being drafted here or traded here as the worse side of the deal.

I don't always pay attention to this franchise - especially when it's doing complete LOSER shite - but when I do, I'm glad to see them getting rid of bright spots and replacing it with scrubs.
Meanwhile the Grizz have been rebuilding and now have 12 first round picks over the next 7 seasons.
Nowadays I just pay attention to the Pels to see how much worse they can do and thus far, they've never let me down.

This doesn't matter since he's gonna go through waivers right? Only the kings have a worse win % so they'd be the only threat assuming he will get picked up on his current contract of $6M/yr

Zubac is solid..2nd team all-defense this past season.
Probably a good trade for both teams...given their objectives.
And of course, the rich get richer...since OKC owns Clippers 1st round pick (unprotected) and this trade means Clippers will "punt" this season from here on and hope to build for the future. OKC will very likely end up with a top 10 pick...maybe even 6-10...in addition to all their other future picks. Who knows...maybe OKC will come off this 1st round pick and others... to go after Trey or Herb...we deserve a break.

Wasn't the draft compensation we gave up for Queen considerably more than what the Clippers got for Zubac?
We did give up two first round picks (one likely an unprotected, top 5 lottery pick next year) for an untested rookie who was passed over by twelve teams this year (ourselves included).

He is 2nd team All-Defensive and Harden unlocked him offensively last few years. And there is no better PG to play with than Haliburton.
Also they have 50% chance to land top 4 this year, so why they should care about 2029/31 picks if they have realistic shot for next 3-4 years.
And they didn't want to pay Mathurin.
