You don't hear about too many serious (long term) shoulder injuries, but the last thing that kid needs is to miss training camp.

That didn't take long at all. Goodness, that's rough.
Posted on 7/8/22 at 8:58 am to TigerinATL
Hopefully just a sprain. Teams are pretty cautious with even the most basic injury in SL.

When was the last time Sharpe played a meaningful game.
Actually, has he EVER played a meaningful game?

An AAU tour before he reclassified to go to Kentucky, I believe.
This is early but we seem to have dodged a bullet on this one.

I think people are overreacting here. He’s a project. He’s going to take time to adjust to playing against grown men. He has the tools and showed some nice flashes last night even in limited time. I don’t expect him to do anything this year but you’ll probably see a significant jump in year 2 for the kid when he gets a little more comfortable.

He is going to take time to adjust but keeping him on the court appears to be an issue.
Reclassified to leave HS and go to Kentucky.
Never played a minute at Kentucky.
Got drafted 7th overall and leaves the game within 10 minutes with a potential injury.
It is early to say it for sure but it sounds like this is a guy who will get paid for years on potential but not end up on the court one way or another.

He went to a team who is deep as hell in the back court. They clearly did not draft him to have to play him early on. Look at Simons. He looked like dog shite his first couple of years. Playing behind a deep backcourt allowed Simons time to develop and didn’t force him into a pressure situation. You dudes overreact to every little thing.

Kira is the youngest player on our team at 21 y/o. This will be his 3rd season. People need to chill out with Sharpe the dude is 19 y/o and never played in college. I won’t make a final decision on him for another year or 2.

I feel like Sharpe is becoming this years Wood/Lonzo/Graham/look at this bitch eating crackers player. Which is crazy cause he never actually came here.
But he’s a guy people took strong anti positions on and already seems like many are gonna shade every struggle in the most negative interpretation possible, if not outright cheer for him to fail, so they can feel vindicated in their initial opinions
I think Simons, and Kira, are good allegories to Sharpe’s situation. If the guy is struggling his third season, I’d probably dump any stock you have, but that’s a ways off.
And I’m guessing that if Dyson comes out tomorrow and turns the ball over 7 times and goes 1-7 from three, most people that are shading Sharpe’s unfortunate situation as a sign will be doing the opposite for Daniels…which would be the right thing to do in that case. Cause Summer League can show you at least belong, and hint at transferable skills, but it doesn’t guarantee success, and failure is not a death sentence either(see Trae Young)

Is Daniels going to play even though he hasn't signed his contract yet? I don't recall how that has been handled in the past.

Yup! I didn't dislike Graham until late in the year and I don't dislike him as a person unlike the others.
I know you love to knight for Wood but he's a douche and so are Sharpe and Lonzo.

Lonzo's not a douche, his dad was. He definitely got unfairly vilified as a person by Pels fans mad at his dad or his flaws as a player.

Douche by association. His dad and klutch
Posted on 7/8/22 at 2:58 pm to JayJay2
Major attention whore who leaned on his kids to make money.
It has been argued that pushing Lonzo to do a Big Baller Brand deal cost him a ton of money as well as being tied to a lot of his lower body issues.

He also got shite on as a player because of the way that people felt about his dad. I would be pretty satisfied if Dyson turns out to be a Lonzo-like player on offense, and is a bit better on defense.

I agree he isn't a douche but imp he lacks desire fot the game

Sochan isn't signed and SA is sitting him out with a "hamstring" issue. Branham isn't signed either but he's playing.
We'll see if an "injury" pops up tomorrow with Daniels.
