There is literally two proposed trades. Not sure the specifics. Dyson has been mentioned, but the Hawks don't care for him. But he won't be a holding point and may be the best option they can get. If Dyson goes, I would expect him to be sent to a third team with picks going to Atlanta. The issue is Dyson isn't getting traded for Capela..in Griff's eyes, if you think of it like that. It's going to take more. Pelicans admire Dyson.

That’s a relief, I would hate to catch an assault charge and have to get my foot medically removed from Griffins arse if he were dumb enough to do that.

This kind of shows that this organization and the fanbase value Dyson a lot more than the rest of the league does.

The Hawks speak for the whole league?

The rest of the league likely hasn't seen enough to comprehend how versatile he is defensively. There are no highlight reels for guards effectively defending post-ups by Gobert because it's not sexy, but I've seen it numerous times.

As they should. He's one of best defenders in the league and only 21

When one of the worst defensive teams in the league trying to improve on defense doesn’t care for him- that should tell you something.

One teams opinion doesn't tell me the whole league's opinion.

The Pels value Dyson. They're one of the best defensive teams in the league. That should tell you something too

Yeah you’re right the rest of the league doesn’t analyze NBA defensive players like Dyson like you do. That must be it.

It may tell you that they do not know defensive players when they see them. Maybe that is why they are so bad on defense.

Not exactly sure. They value him a lot. If Clingan gets taken, I think an extra future first with minimal protection along with this years first.
Wow, seems like a lot to add just to get Okongwu. While I would prefer him, I do not think he is worth adding 2 1sts to get.

Yes we been great on defense the last two years. How has that translated to actual success in playoff seeding or the playoffs? Dyson is basically unplayable in the playoffs currently.

Or they value players who play well on both ends as well. Why they love Herb.

Agreed. I would just take Capela and draft a young center at 21.

A fair metric to use considering Zion played 29 games two seasons ago and got hurt right before this years playoffs. Dyson at 21 years old should be held accountable for this! The defensive rating means nothing! Nevermind two of the highest rated defensive teams just played in the Finals against one another.

He shot 40% from 3 the last 10 games zion played in. Just like Trey, cj, etc, Zion makes Dyson better. And Dyson will get better. You just need to be patient.

Depends what we get back from a third team if so.

I like Dyson and agree he has potential. I just don’t hold his value as high as some do on this board. I think Dyson needs a good bit of development minutes especially on offense and with Willie- I honestly don’t think the Pels will give that to him.
