Figured we should have a single thread for all NBA free agent moves.
Starting off with what appears to be a blockbuster coming, it seems Lebron will be going to GS

Put it on the record now.
I don't believe in signing or trading for old players.
It failed miserably with Jimmy Butler for the Warriors.
This will fail even worse.

For big money sure.
It seems like he is taking the MLE to go there, which is insane

This team should go after Luke Kennard quickly. He’d be a perfect shooter off the bench.

Man, it is honestly so embarrassing at this point. LeBron is STILL shamelessly trying to team up with the exact same guys who beat him in the Finals.
I honestly can't wait for this whole generation of NBA players to just retire already so we can move on from the constant super-team stuff. Give me more of that SAS/OKC rivalry.

What do you consider an "old player"? Jimmy was 35 y/o when the Warriors traded for him and was chasing championships the few years prior. If we trade for a guy who is 28-30y/o then you are probably getting 4+ elite years.

I just can't imagine that team being good enough Defensively to make any kind of real run

I’m curious to see what they give up for AD.
Wizards may make out like bandits on that deal due to Warriors being desperate

For those wondering what our salary situation is:
Lazy arse $42.2M
Poole $34M
Murray $32.7M
Trey $27M
Herb $14.9M
Fears $7.9M
Hawkins $7M
Bey $6.6M
Queen $5.4M
Missi $3.5M
McGowens $2.6M
Karlo $2.3M
Peavy $2.2M
That is $188,330,791
I think it is highly likely we bring back DJ as a bench/coach/motivator, which is $2.4M
So that means we are currently at $190,780,791 with 14 players.
The Salary Cap is at $165M
The Luxury Tax is $201M, which we are safely under and can make moves taking back salary.
First Apron is $209M
Second Apron is $222M

Obviously I could be wrong and a lot is dependent on doing deals with other teams, but
I really don't think we are going to bring back the entire same team

You mean you hope we aren't.
We all hope this, but here we are twiddling our thumbs.

I don’t think the Lake Show is going to give into LeBron when they need to go all in on making it Luka’s team, like getting a center who isn’t Aytom.

Not going to lie, that’s a good one
