Shamit just posted a hypothetical: Which package for Bi would you take? Jarrett Allen/Max Strus Or Kessler + a lot of picks
Allen and strus by far.
Allen is way better and strus is a very solid rotation guy

also if we can round this team out with a quality big and still somehow keep one of bi or CJ around, that would be pretty cool.
Obviously BI would have to work with us on the contract, which would also make me feel better about how he ended the year a bit butthurt.
Like let’s just say it’s a deal that ultimately results in BI for KAT. I’m not a huge KAT fan, but when i think about a starting lineup of Murray/cj/herb/zion/KAT with Trey, hawk and Jose on the bench, it moves.

Whats your guy’s thoughts on Lopez and Portis for BI?
Portis gives us a great bench and the tough guy we need. Lopez fits right in with his shooting and shot blocking.

I’d love to have Jonathan Isaac.

Lopez would be serviceable, just not very exciting given his age. I’m also just not a fan of Bobby Portis for locker room reasons. If he gets his head straight he’s a solid #2 big.
ETA: I could live with it, but I’d rather try for Allen, KAT or Ayton first if we can. We’d have to give up a lot for any of them, but if not now then when?

To me if Missi is your future big Lopez is that stop gap/mentor. I think Portis is a little crazy but with Naji gone- we may need that come playoff time. I do like Allen but not sure about KAT/DA due to defense mostly.

I know he took 44 shots to get 44 points against Boston. But that game winner at the end made it worth it. Imagine having White, Jrue, Tatum, Brown hounding you and you still score that much.

If tweet fails to load, click here. He looks excited to be here. LFG. He got other videos on his story too.

Yeah, the effort is the main thing there though. There have been stretches where Ayton’s fully engaged and he seems incredible on both ends, and others where you wonder wtf he was doing on defense.
This past year was more encouraging than the end of his phoenix run though. He’s also still pretty young and could be more motivated with this kind of roster. He could also hate New Orleans and bitch the whole time though, so we should be sure he wants to be here if it’s him.
ETA: I do agree though that if we like Missi long term, we could do a lot worse than brook lopez as a mentor and stopgap.

quote:Yeah, because PG is going to opt in to force a trade to the Pelicans.
The move to make now is BI to LAC for PG.

quote:Come on. He was signed to a SL/camp spot. He is not the answer to our roster situations.
All I said was that maybe just maybe the team really liked the PF we signed (makes sense if we signed him) and that made it easier being comfortable with letting go of Nance and Dyson, while signing JRE (2 way player and current competition to current 2 way player).

I’ve come off the ledge a bit.. sad to see Dyson go. Will be rooting for Dejounte but not entirely sure how well he will fit off ball, regardless it’s an obvious upgrade at PG. CJ and BI are the big question marks now, I wouldn’t hate CJ off the bench as a 6th man but I’m going to riot if Herb or Trey is coming off the bench so CJ can start

Laker fans on social media are complaining that they couldn't put together a better offer than Larry Nance and Dyson Daniels?
This trade is 100% worth it just for the reminder to them that this trade actually happened because we haven't traded away every first round pick until 2029, and the most valuable chip in the deal is the LAL draft pick
