I don't think he's the next LeBron. But he's going to be the next Giannis. I think that's a better comparison for his skillset. Still, he's a potential superstar, an organization-changer

If we do deal with Knicks on trade I’d obviously want Morant but also Robinson and Knox along with DSJ with picks.

To say that Morant could be a better player isn’t stupid at all. Morant dominated everyone he faced. He’s going to be an elite player. Don’t get mad bc there are different opinions on this.

It’s not a troll attempt at all. If we draft Zion we are hoping his shot develops. Morant is going to avg close to a triple double in the NBA.

he is a little bit better of a shooter than Lebron was coming into the NBA. And Zion can play a Draymond green role while also being able to be more effective offensively. Draymond is gonna be remembered as a poor mans Zion in the distant future.

We'd never get all of that. The only way to realistically get Morant AND Zion is to hope we can do a three-way trade with Memphis and entice them with Knox and DSJ and future picks.

I kinda agree with you and have said it all year.

You gotta pick Zion just bc the excitement he brings and potential.

But talking heads are acting like he’s an all nba player now. I don’t think he’s better than Blake griffin coming out.

Obvis I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think I am

His stroke is a concern, but he’s not bad for 18. There is no doubt that he has the tools to become a good shooter and his work ethic and natural confidence lend itself to this occurring in the very near future.

I mean in one season Zion is coming out a better player than Blake was in two seasons at Oklahoma.

And Zion is an utter athletic freak. Bigger than Griffin and with slightly better athleticism.

There’s no denying Zion is an athletic marvel

Blake was an Uber athlete too with better measurable.

I’m
Pretty sure Blake averaged like 20 and 14 or some shite

Shooting like 50-60 percent. Could be wrong.

He’s a better shooter than Griffin coming out and Griffin averaged 22.5/12 his rookie year

He could be the next Anthony Bennett.

I mean the odds of that are pretty low. That was a bad draft and he was the #1 by default, most agreed in a normal year he was not a legit #1 overall talent

Griffin was also bigger.

I see Zion as a better Julius Randle. Which is good.

I don’t see Lebron or Giannis either, but Zion is electric and should be the pick if nothing else for marketability and ticket sales.

Griffin is 3 inches taller. Zion is a huge. You have to wonder who’s stopping him in transition.

No one.

Morant looks like he is going to be awesome, but how many point guards not named Isiah and Curry have led their teams to titles? Not saying he can't do it one day, but a Zion looks everything but like a generational talent.

Finally someone with some sense. Morant is the better player the better building block and the player better suited to succeed in today’s NBA. He’s the best point guard prospect since the rule changes and this is a point guard dominant league. Zion is pure athlete very little skill. He doesn’t make others around him better and he can’t elevate a franchise. He’s a luxury item he’ll take your breath away with highlights but end the end his line will look an awful lot like Julius Randle’s. This pick is too important to throw away on a 6-6 power forward when you have a point guard who WILL be the best player at the most important position in the NBA at some point in his career. Morant is the pick and I pray somebody in the front office is smart enough and bold enough to make it.

Lol the ignorance explains why the franchise gets away with how bad it operates for so long. Zion has no jumpshot, at all, he has a set shot that produces very poor results from everywhere. He can’t make free throws and he’s 6-6, don’t you see what happens to guys who can’t shoot in the playoffs? Don’t you watch basketball?
