Why is everyone freaking out over a rumor that states Trey would be traded for a Top 10 pick + more?

It doesn't say JUST #8, have to wait for what "more" is.

The Bane trade was #16, (3) mid 1sts, 1 swap.

#8 is probably = value to atleast #16 + 1 mid 1st.

So you need 2 mid 1st and 1 swap for = value to bane. If the Mil pick is a lottery pick then you are within 1 1st- 1 swap of that value.

#8/ '27 Mil for Trey is not a terrible trade if the focus is on rebuild.

If you do that trade its advantageous to then flip DJ/ Herb IMO.

shite I'd do that trade and then ship out Herb, Zion, and DJ. Just go all in if we are going to trade Trey.

Past couple of years when he is talking information not just his wild trade ideas, its clear someone close to Gayle is giving him info

Once we went in on Fears and Queen, the right solution was always to go full rebuild, but they aren't gonna do that

I'll get blasted for this but this is the path I think we need to follow

Trade Trey, Karlo for Okongwu, Risacher, 8, 2027 1st back, plus 2030 1st

Trade Herb for Moody & 11

Trade Dejounte & Poole for Ja & KCP

Draft Burries at 8, Mara at 11

Sign Jevon Carter & Precious Achiuwa

I'd also considering trading MIssi and bringing back Jordan

Ja / Fears / Carter
Moody / KCP / Burries
Bey / Risacher / McGowens
Zion / DQ / Achiuwa
Okongwu / Mara / Missi

Have tradeable contracts, a couple of expirings, more picks...triggers the rebuild.

Arguable that this may be a better fitting team too.

We are not getting Okongwu/ Risacher/ #8/ '27MIL/ '30 1st for Trey lolol.

#8/ '27MIL and (1) of Risacher/ Okongwu is pretty damn fair.

I like #11 for Herb. Kinda like DJ > Ja, especially losing Herb in this scenario.

Doubt we would get all of that. Trey for Okongwu, Risacher and 8 may make some sense.

Well last offseason for starters. We knew they coveted Queen and they gave up a ton for it. So people probably don’t have much faith in Joe to get good trade value.

Right

This organization thought we were a playoff team last year and made moves accordingly. We won 26 games with zero tanking.

Any skepticism is well fricking earned.

Stop swinging for the fences, this team is not close. Trade Poole and Zion for whatever you can get. Same thing I said before last season trade deadline.

Trey is better shooter and better locker guy than Kum, but Kum is very explosive and good at times and has a lot of potential. He also has valuable playoff experience.

Warriors are my second team. Kuminga is horrible. He’s Poole all over again. The warriors system makes these players. There’s a reason the Warriors couldn’t trade him and a reason Atlanta has been shopping him after one year. Dude is not a winning player.

Kerr absolutely hating Kuminga and never playing him is a red flag for me. He just seems too inconsistent while still being a poor shooter

That DJ deal is more about dumping Poole. We're going to lose anyway...might as well be entertaining, recoup Ja's value and flip him at the deadline for something else...Fears should be the starting PG, regardless, by end of the season.

KCP is an expiring you can easily flip.

I think we could squeeze both players out of Atlanta...We don't want Kuminga and they'd have to match salary
